The first thing to mention with regard to this desk is the size. Simply reading the dimensions will not prepare you for just how big this desk is. No matter what you are using this desk for, you will certainly have room to do it. My desk is currently holding 30" and 23" monitors on one half alone, with a laptop, tower, Wacom tablet and a third 22" monitor on the other half. Even with all of these items on top, I still have enough room for notebooks, binders, books, etc...Assembling this desk is fortunately a fairly easy task. I was able to assemble it from start to finish by myself, though joining the two halves of the "L" did take a bit of creativity to hold them in place until they were locked together. If you have another person helping you, it will certainly help in assembly. With the exception of joining those two parts, the assembly is painless and the instructions are clear. While the desk is constructed out of composite wood, it is of much higher quality than similar furniture. The top of the desk in particular seems very dense and is a full inch thick. After assembly, you will not have to worry about the desk moving, shifting or warping. In fact, if you ever plan to move the desk, you will be forced to disassemble it. It is that solid.One standout feature is the amount of storage you have, even without the hutch, which must be purchased separately. The cabinet for your computer tower is around 10" wide and should hold most towers on the market. Unfortunately for me, my tower is massive and will not fit inside the cabinet. There is also a shelf included in the tower cabinet with holes drilled for installation from eight inches down to about the midway point of the cabinet's height. The keyboard shelf is also large, but again if you have an oversize keyboard or mouse pad, you will have to place something on top of the desk to make room. The storage on the right hand side of the desk features a single shelf and two roll out drawers. The drawer bottoms are a bit thin, but should hold up to papers, folders or even a lightweight book or two.This desk is truly impressive in both build quality and space. Originally, I believed I would have to purchase the hutch in order to have room for all of my things. After using the desk , it is evident that I have more than enough room for everything. The materials may not be the absolute best you can buy, but they easily outclass everything in this price range. The finish on the parts is beautiful and is holding up well to everyday use. The individual parts are even finished on the backside, so you don't have to tuck the desk away in a corner. Only the tower cabinet's cardboard lacks the excellent finish as the rest of the desk. Overall, I can't recommend this desk enough. After three months of everyday use, I am as impressed with it as the day it was assembled.

I purchased this desk for my home office and have been happy with it until recently. I would rate my use of the product as extremely heavy as I'm a computer programer and use it on a daily basis.First a couple of items:Packing: The pieces were packed well enough and arrived in perfect condition in spite of a damaged box.Assembly: This desk took a few hours to put together with one other person. The instructions were easy to follow. I would HIGHLY recommend a powered screw driver.Function: The size and features of this desk are perfect for my situation. The drawers have a very nice fit and slide extremely well. The tower cabinet easily fits my PC with room on the shelf above for an external drive, router, and KVM switch. There is a lot of surface area for my two monitors and three laptops. The keyboard drawer functions well and has plenty of room for a mouse next to it.Durability: This is the area that this desk fails. The covering on the front of the top began pealing off after 7 months and after a couple broken spots is now held together by super glue. Granted, I work 8-12 hours a day with my arms resting on this area since I use both a keyboard on the top of the desk as well as in the drawer.I would ONLY suggest this desk for infrequent use. If you plan on using the desk on a daily basis, I would suggest looking elsewhere.*** UPDATE ***I contacted the manufacturer about the issue with the desk and they honored their warranty and replaced it. The process was painless and they were extremely understanding of the situation. Based on the fantastic customer service, I increased the rating of this product. If the new desk does not exhibit the same issue, I will further increase the rating to 5 stars at a later date as I really like the design sturdiness of this desk.

This desk was an excellent purchase overall.Packaging: this item arrived about 5 days early which was fine with me. It is shipped via courier who will only bring it to the garage or front door. The issue with that is, the items weighs close to 200 pounds. I weigh about half that which makes moving that box nearly impossible. If it had been shipped in multiple boxes, that would have been preferable.Inside though, it was securely packed with large foam pieces and some clingy foam sheets. Made a mess when opening but the product was not damaged which is the ultimate point.Assembly: took a very long time to assemble. 27 total pages with one step per page, although each step is really 4 or 5 steps. It would have been easier if there were words to accompany the pictures, but the assembly instructions are set up in drawn picture style only (pictures of tiny screws aimed at various parts of the desk, some of which looked like MC Escher drew them). Figured it out though without too much trouble.Be cautious of the cardboard back for the tower shelf. Instead of tiny tack nails you get tiny tack screws. They kept snapping in half. Finally I left that part off because the instructions indicate you have to run the PC with the door open anyway to avoid overheating. With the back uncovered, I can leave the door shut.The black paint is not solid paint. It's distressed black mixed in with brown that matches the desk top.All that being said, the desk is solid, sturdy and worth any trouble caused in the unpacking/build stage. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and believe the price is actually excellent for how durable this desk seems.I'd recommend it.

Very happy with the desk wish I had invested more and gotten solid wood though as this does swell if it gets wet even sotting a water glass on it
