Fun, simple, nice end result.
For the whopping $6 and 90 or so minutes it took to assemble, it's a great little project. I get the feeling it's definitely the gateway of the metal earth series as the difficulty is quite low, especially when you have the tools to snip out the pieces and the flat edge pliers to fold the edges of the pieces neatly, and the needle nose to bend as them as desired. I figured I'd end up with ground beef finger tips, but the edges, while fine, are not particularly sharp so I was spared any bloodshed. The finished product looks great, both up close and from a few feet back. Easy recommend.

A fun introductory step into metal kits
I have really enjoyed these metal kits as of late, and this one in particular is fun. There are different levels to these kits, and if you are a beginner this one is perfect. This was not my first one so it was a bit simple and quick, however it does look great.

Easy level and has extra pieces
This was a fun project with not too many steps. Definitely requires some precision and dexterity. This was, apparently, a good introduction project to the metal earth projects (I thought it was a bit more difficult). Comes with some extra pieces which came in handy because several are very tiny. The instructions were a little vague and at one point appeared to show a piece upside down from what it truly needed to be. That being said, the pieces weren’t terrible to rebend into other shapes when I messed up. This would definitely be very giftable for someone who plays guitar, like myself. I’ve already ordered a few more metal earth products in hopes of getting better. Perhaps eventually I’ll feel confident enough to do a challenging level instead of easy level projects like this.

Loved this!
This was my first time trying this type. I loved them. I’m going to be getting more. The guitar was fairly easy to put together for me. Some pieces where a little more of a challenge but this is because I forgot to order a tool kit lol.

Instructions are garbage
I've bought two of these several years apart & encountered many of the same problems. Mainly, the instructions are garbage! Second, the order of operations needs to be rethought. Third, when following the instructions as written, many of the pieces are just ever so slightly off.Looking back, here are a few suggestions to make this build easier. First, have a small metal jig that has very sharp 90° angles. And something to use as a hammer. The idea being to be able to get a part to the very edge & then lay the tab flat on the other side. In my case, I had a variety of assorted diameter rods (about 3" long). I'd just use one of the bigger diameter rods as a hammer to flatten the tabs down. Just the weight of the rod dropping maybe an inch or so was more than enough. The rods also helped with forming the knows in a round shape & then bending the cap over at 90°.If you plan to use snips to separate the pieces from the card, unless you're using REALLY high end snips (don'tbecauseyouwill destroythem), make your cuts BESIDE the attachment points, then remove the attachment tabs by flexing them a few times. If you try to cut the pieces directly from the card, no matter how careful you are, there will be a mark just by the nature of the cutting action. It's better to have those marks on the bit you're going to toss, rather than use.Last bit tip is keep the pieces that will become the sides of the guitar attached to the card until you are ready to use them. They're VERY similar & easy to get mixed up. Assemble them as one piece & only then attach them to the back side of the front (opposite of where the strings are). Otherwise you risk having really noticeable seems.Oh, also, don't bend the tuning keys into place until the VERY end.

Great activity for my son
These are really cool - my 15-year-old son loves these. He loves working with his hands building things and these are a good challenge for him. He got 3 different ines for Christmas and had 2 done that day. We'll be buying lots more.

This got me hooked on Metal Earth models
The was the first Metal Earth model I did, and it got me hooked. The small knobs and attaching the neck were a challenge, but the finished model was really nice. I ended up giving it away as a gift, so I ended up buying another one for my personal collection.
