Crayola Washable Crystal Effects Window Markers, 8 ct

For Christmas this year, we ended up renting out a space because none of us have a house big enough to party in anymore. As a result, we had no Christmas tree :(. What we did have, though, we a number of big mirrors in the space we rented. So, on a whim, I bought these along with some green tape thinking the kids would have fun making a "tree" for our Christmas party. Did they ever! These silly things became the belle of the ball! The kids loved creating messages, drawings, and (yes) Christmas ornaments all afternoon. They especially loved being able to "activate" the ink by touching it and watching the crystals spread. One of my nephews drew a really cool menorah and "lit" it with his fingers. It was awesome! (I've included a rather terrible blurry picture, but you'll get the idea.)One caveat: They were a little hard to clean up after the party. My family had basically filled a 6x8 foot mirror (it was a dance studio) with these markers, so I handed out paper towels and spray cleaners and they got to work. At first glance, it seemed like cleanup was easy, but the crystallization reappeared as smears, which was both funny and frustrating. After cleaning it again, though, (with some elbow grease from the nephews), the mirrors came clean. It was totally worth the clean up, but you have to budget time for that.

Ok so I saw a video of these on Facebook and didn't think it was legit, but I got them anyway because my son wanted to color on his window. So we used them and waited a few seconds and it was AWESOME! My 5-year-old and I had SO MUCH FUN! We colored and laughed and watched them crystalize in amazement. He was so impressed with how they changed into snowflake looking stuff. Seriously this is really fun and EASY to clean! I used vinegar and water to wipe it off and it was like it was never there. This is a great product for quarantine if you have kids, although if I'm being honest I'm almost 30 and I had a blast doing it. If you're bored and like to draw this is for you!

The ink was hard to see while you're drawing especially if it's a bright day outside. So it's difficult to draw a lot of details. But wait a minute or two and everything becomes very visible once the ink starts to dry. And if the sun is coming in through the window that you're drawing on, then the crystalizing effect will be in full display. The ink comes off very easily and cleanly with a wet paper towel. You can leave your drawing for days and it would still wipe off easily with a damp paper towel.

got these markers right before pandemic hit! My kids have had a ball leaving messages on our big bay window! at first the markers look way too "watery" like you can't see the writing at certain angles, but within a minute (based on temp, humidity) the marker becomes opaque and "crystallizes" the design. it's cool to watch and once dry very visible! the colors are vibrant and though the markers have seen heavy use, none are drying out or seem empty yet!

They’re fun and really do work. But only for a short time. Ours melted off the next day, literally the colors bled. I guess it was too hot. We put it on a window that gets mostly sun during the day.... if you use too much it takes a while to dry. The colors are very light but once they dry and crystallized they got darker and looked neat. Easy to clean too. Not a permanent fix if that’s what your looking for, but a temporary job YES! Plus fun and you can use your artistic skills.

These are super easy to remove from the window with just a paper towel and some window cleaner. I love how it fosters my children’s creativity without giving me lots of extra cleanup work. I left some of their artwork up for months and it still came off easily. The crystallizing effect is pretty cool too. This is our second set since we used up all the ink over the past 2 years. I love that they can decorate our windows, French doors, fish tanks, and mirrors with very little adult supervision.

I ordered two packs because they were on sale for a little over $2! We have our daughters friend a pack for her birthday and we kept the second for our Elf to have a little fun! A little hard to see when using certain colors… easier to use in a dimmed area but they are so fun! We ended up having our elf give them to our 7 year old so she could do some Christmas drawings in the windows!

We bought these markers for my three-year-old daughter, who loves them! She uses them on the sliding glass doors in the dining room and they can keep her entertained for an hour while I make dinner or clean. They work by drawing on the glass, which at first is very faint, but after a few seconds, the drawing crystallizes into a frosty version of the color. My daughter loves them because usually one end starts to crystallize first and then it travels across the whole drawing and is fun to watch. They are really easy to clean off the glass (we use baby wipes), and my daughter has a lot of fun wiping them away and then drawing again. The markers are of a good quality and have lasted for 8 months now.
