CHINESE CANDY - DRIED SALTED PLUM PLAIN 2 pcs Each ( 50 in a Pack )

If you are familiar with dried salt prunes and are expecting these to taste even remotely like them (the very tasty, slightly sweet, then sour kind) DO NOT order these things. I don't even want to give them 1 star. They are just awful. The prunes literally taste like pure salt, like if they made salt into cubes, and you put it into your mouth to eat. They have absolutely no other flavor, just an extreme, not fit for human consumption amount of salt. I looked at the prunes up close and there is dried, crystalized layer upon layer of salt and little to no flesh on the prune itself so quite literally, all you are consuming is the horrid tasting salt. I tried to contact the company for a return and refund, but they never responded, so I wasted my money. They will not refund your money if you can't eat this product. I also found some info online by the FDA saying they have found extremely high levels of lead in the dried prunes from this company. Just google FDA Alamo Packing Original Chinese Candy and the warning comes up. They strongly advise you to throw away the product since the amount of lead in it is lethal. I will not be ordering anything from Alamo Packing Co. again and have thrown out the prunes. This review was for "The original Chinese Candy - Plain Dried Salted Plums."
