undefinedXCR epoxy coating resin is a high performance, extreme clarity clear epoxy varnish developed for demanding visual applications such as carbon fiber coating, board making, and wood finishing. XCR is designed to be used where laminates will not be painted, showing reinforcements such as carbon fiber or natural fibers, inlaid graphics or beautiful wood grains. To ensure the perfect finish, XCR Carbon Fiber Coating Resin uses a special technology to enhance moisture from the fiber and expel trapped air. Its fast curing allows multiple layers to accumulate in minimal time, significantly accelerating the "rough" processes that require multiple layers. XCR will harden to a hard, durable, UV-resistant finish that can be flattened and polished to a high gloss or overpainted with a suitable clear coat/lacquer. Resin offers excellent mechanical curing properties, making it suitable for laminating or finishing sport/recreational equipment XCR's signature "purple" color is due to the advanced UV protection agents used in the resin. Once mixed with its hardener, this color diminishes and when used as directed as a thin layer, the dye is hardly detectable and in fact improves the appearance of the fibers (like carbon fiber) and embedded graphics. Once cured, XCR needs to be flattened (using abrasive paper) and then polished (using a cut/polishing compound) to achieve a high gloss finish.
