Fizik Tempo Argo, Versatile Endurance Road Bike Saddle

I ride a road bike for fitness and endurance … rides of 20-25 miles 6 days / week. Trying to work up to a century ride. Although I ride mostly at a zone 2 pace, comfort during and after the ride is critical to me. After trying a handful of traditional 160-180mm road bike type saddles that were advertised as soft yet supportive, I found myself uncomfortable about 8-10 miles in on the ride and a bit sore for a couple hours after the ride. After much investi-googling I concluded that soft doesn’t necessarily equate to comfortable for road bike saddles. I’ve been using the Fizik Tempo saddle for a couple weeks and am very pleased with the level of comfort and support. No during or after sit bone (or tail bone) pain. Likewise no soft tissue perineal issues at all. Which brings me to another great design feature of this saddle vs more traditional road bike saddles, it’s a short-nose saddle. Very noticeable in a positive way in the nether areas while keeping you more planted in the saddle and allowing freer leg movement vs traditional road bike saddles. I’m 6’; 180 lbs. self measurement of my sit bones using a couple online video methods yielded approximately 120-125mm. The videos suggest adding 20-30mm when sizing your bike saddle. I ordered the 160 Fizik and am very pleased. I’d highly recommend.

I've been through so many saddles Brooks , and finally found this one for my road bike, it really works for me very comfortable and the short nose really helps.

Feels extremely firm initially, but comfortable after your butt gets used to it. Rode 8 hours on a drop bar road bike and no discomfort.

Great saddle comfortable right out of the box. It's important to get the right size saddle for your sit bones and this one fit perfectly. I've tried so many different kinds of saddles and while everyone has a different anatomy, this saddle far exceeded my expectations.

Amazing saddle so much better then the stock Cannondale CADD13 saddle!

This saddle has a nice high end looking design, but my sit bones would start to get sore at around 30 minutes of riding, due to a lack of good pressure distribution. The channel may be good for relieving soft tissue, but that means more pressure goes onto the sit bones. I would recommend, instead, to visit a local bike shop to try out different saddles maybe alongside a bike fit. A smaller channel and softer cushioning would probably have been a better saddle for me.

I am a noive rider riding my bikes (Jamis Dakar XC and Scott Sportster) on the paved road only, 8-90 miles per week.I was curious about this saddle due to its design and review (thin but very comfortable). I used WTB saddles so far (very thick pads) and one of these show a sign of wear. So I tried this.I was initially very skeptical since it has very minimal padding. However, I realized padding was overrated - just enough pad holding my booty very comfortably, and aggressive front cut giving me freedom to pedal. Very light weight too. Highly recommdend!!!

The cut out on this seat provides 100% pressure relief for very long rides over 50 miles. Wish I had bought this sooner. It is a little bit of a firmer seat, but proved to work well for very long rides.

Personal choice...works for me 500lm per week

Good quality, arrived on time. Couldn’t put to use too much as winter’s here. Looking forward to use it next summer.

The wide pressure relief channel on this seat is great. I actually would prefer a full length saddle but the firm foam and channel make long rides comfortable where they weren’t with stock saddle.

El asiento es muy confortable, he rodado con el mas de 300km y no he tenido problemas. el asiento corto es perfecto para viajes largos ya que no te molesta en las partes sensibles asi como tambien tiene una muy buena abertura para evitar problema con la prostata. el asiento tambien es muy ligero y de muy buena calidad. si lo compraria de nuevo.
