Ray-BanRx5154 Clubmaster Square Prescription Eyeglass Frames

Just got these in the mail and they look great. I see a lot of reviews claiming knock-offs, and while some may be it's important to do a little research. I have done some quick web searches and came back with the following. First of all, NOT ALL RAYBAN'S ARE MADE IN ITALY. Direct yourself to the Luxottica website and read that they have factories in both Italy and China. That being said I have seen some customer photos of fakes from China that are EXTREMELY FAKE! Poorly painted and do not have the correct markings there are some really bad fakes. The Made in China stamp does not necessarily mean you have an authentic pair, but an authentic pair can have this stamping. Here are some other authentic characteristics I've found online.- The inside left arm will have something like: RB 5154 20XX 49 [] 21 140This is the model number, color, lens size, and frame size.- The right side very well may say "MADE IN CHINA"- The inside of the bridge will have the lens size 49 [] 21- The metal bits holding the nose pieces on are stamped "RB", if you look through the nose piece you can see this- And apparently the knock-offs feel cheap. I take this to mean bumpy or uneven paint, overly light weight, and nose pieces bending too easily.Now here is where I'm not able to gather information but still feel confident these are authentic.My Wayfarers have RB inscribed in the left lens (right lens if you are facing me) and the 5154's with clear lens' do not. It makes sense to only inscribe the sun glasses under the assumption these clear lenses will be replaced with prescription, however I haven't' been able to confirm or deny this.The printed Ray-Ban on the front right lens of my wayfarers (left if you are looking at me) is small and white. The 5154's have a larger logo on the opposite lens with the addition of the Federal Trademark. From what I can gather authentic RayBan 5154's DO have this registered trade mark and the logo is in the correct place. Just different from most of the sunglasses.The best thing you can do is take them into a store and compare to an authentic pair. I will have the opportunity to do this later in the week and can update my review with any new findings.

I bought these glasses wondering if they were going to be some terrible knockoffs... to my surprise they look great and as far as I can tell they are genuine Ray Ban frames - they came with a Ray Ban case + cloth and have the Ray Ban product # on the inside of the left earpiece.I took them to my usual eyeglasses shop and talked to the owner and he also believes they are genuine frames and said that the price was low, but not so low that he would suspect a fake product. I spent about $300 to put my prescription into these frames and I LOVE THEM!Overall I really enjoy these frames and would recommend them to anyone. I was afraid they might not fit my face since I wear the large-size Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses but they fit fine.I purchased my pair from Sunglass Boutique - I cannot attest to the quality of any other merchants selling these frames. To anyone wondering if they are the right glasses frames for you... I'm a 20 year old male and have received a ton of compliments from people on how well these frames look on me. You won't regret it!

Came promptly and are exactly as advertised for hundreds less than the local optical shop retailed them for. These are the real thing, not knockoffs, and are very high quality.Follow up. I purchased both the standard Clubmaster for my standard, clear bifocal glassed and the folding Clubmaster that I got as a single vision sunglass. I have found in regular use that I likely should have bought two sets of the folding Clumbasters. Not because there is anything at all wrong with this set, love them. But as a practical matter I have to stick the non-folding ones in a pocket if I want to wear the sunglass. I had a leather belt case made for the folding ones and having two pair would keep both pairs safe and compact for those back and forth times as when you are shopping and need your bifocals for reading.

Fay-bans!

The only problem I had with these glasses is that they are too small for me. They look good but they are very uncomfortable to wear. Sending them back to get bigger ones.

They are a timeless look and fit very well

I was a little let down on these glasses. They fit a little too small on my face, and left marks on my nose after a while of wearing.They look great, but if you have a larger face... I'd look elsewhere to be honest. On the flipside, however.They feel very well made nonetheless, just as expected from Ray-Ban, and for the final time, YES THESE ARE REAL AUTHENTIC RAY BANS. I took them to a certified Ray-Ban seller in Oklahoma City, called Sunglass Hut, and he verified they were authentic.Comes with very sturdy and protective carrying case. Oh and hey, they even threw in a cleaning cloth. I am blind in my left eye, and I need to protect my right eye, so I took them to my optometrist and he cut some protective poly lenses and put them in. These are fun glasses.

I love my new glasses! These frames are very lightweight and I was originally wearing a pair of square framed Hugo Boss glasses but grew into wearing clubmaster sunglasses to want the same as a pair of regular glasses. When my clubmaster sunglasses broke from the leg I decided to get a pair of these frames as a pair of glasses and add on transitional lenses to them for a daily wear / sunglasses if that makes sense. I've been using them for the past 2 days since my eye doctor put in the new lenses for me and haven't taken them off since. Only time I don't use my glasses is when I'm home indoors.
