They Work As Described
These shelves could have been made a bit sturdier, but they certainly made cooking on our stove more convenient this summer and they did perform as described. They were strong enough to hold our 12-cup coffee pot when full, as well as our full 3-quart cast iron dutch oven with lid, They easily handled a platter full of meat and a few cooking utensils. The instructions to assemble the shelves onto the Camp Chef stove were easy to follow. Everything went together without an issue. As described, they fold down flat over the stove when not in use and there is still plenty of room for them to fit inside the stove's carrying case.

Yes, they really are bright red!
I just replaced an old camp chef 2 burner stove that had fallen apart from years of use. My old one came with the side tables, but the new one does not. So, I bought these. They are very sturdy, and bolted right on without much difficulty. My only question wasn't answered by the paperwork, so I don't know if these shelves are just painted or it they are powder coated. I think they are just painted, but either way they'll be really easy to clean. I thought they were a little pricey for what they are, but I'm so used to having them when I'm cooking that I just had to buy them.

Perfect fit and very sturdy
Perfect fit and very sturdy. Does not interfere with wind screen. Only gripe is that it should be standard equipment with the grill system.***EDIT***These things work as they should, no issues whatsoever. However, what I did not consider is that they basically prohibit the use of the cover that was bought separately from the unit. Yes, you can fold the shelves over and still use the cover, but that would mean you'd have to remove the wind screen. For me, this would also mean you'd have to remove the optional grill box too. Yes, you can fold up everything, set the grill box on top and still use the cover, but that's not likely to happen at this point. No downgrade on the rating, just FYI.

Surprising quality but pricey
Shelves appear to be 20 gauge steel powder coated a nice flat metallic red. Excellent quality. Beautiful finish. No issues with functionality what-so-ever. Also came with heavy duty braces that conveniently doubles as carrying handles. I bought these to compliment my Explorer EX60LW, which came with extension legs and the windscreen. I assume thats what the "L" and the "W" stand for in the model name./begin rantI understand the market is limited for these but the price point is high when compared to the stove. List price: shelves $43.75; stove $124.99. I have a hard time seeing how the manufacturing costs of these shelves come anywhere close to being a full third of the stove itself.Personally, I feel these should have come with the stove. Unless you're taking the stove to a park with plenty of picnic tables these shelves are pretty much mandatory. I currently use mine at my shop to cook quick meals. The only clean food "prep-able" surface is in one of the offices while the stove is out on the shop floor. I couldn't imagine being at a camp site with the stove and no shelves. But in the end I'm still happy with them. So lets see, 5 stars for functionality, 5 stars for appearance, 4 stars for price and 2 stars for market strategy to NOT bundle with the stove equals 4 stars overall.

Great outdoor cooking grill and stove
Since my husband and I bought our travel trailer we thought cooking outdoors would be much better during the summer. The trailer would get hot, so we found ourselves not wanting to cook until it cooled down. We use the Camp Chef with the cast iron grill and the Sport Grill Box and find that is great way to beat the heat in the kitchen. We soak mesquite and put it in the Grill Box and our food tastes like it's been smoked all day. So delicious and tender! The grill is great for cooking breakfast. All the Camp Chef items seem to be well made. They are also easy to clean if you keep them seasoned. The shelves were a nice addition. We use one side for the lantern and the other for barbeque tools. I also like that it is easy to take apart and put together. We've been very pleased with our purchase and now enjoy cooking in our outdoor kitchen during the summer months.

It covers the burners and help keep them clean
6/23/19 FYI, I'm a happy camper, I was at JoAnn's Fabricks and found Chicage Screws. Dritz home creative DIY, 3 screws for $5.99. They worked great, if someone wants the information the number on the back is 72879 30048.I love the product. I let them know 6/11 that I was missing one of the screws. I'm still waiting for a reply how to get on of the special screws to attach one side. Once that is completed I will be one happy person. This is great product!

No Problems With This
I purchased this for our ex-60. It took about 3 minutes to install. Tools and parts come with shelves along with instructions. I have no problem with attaching wind screen now that shelves are in place. Everything fits well. With shelves open, it gives extra area for your needed items. Yes the shelves have a slight angle away from stove to what I think, is to prevent items from rolling to hot edges. When folded up, it gives you an extra working/prep area. When stove is stored in bag it fits just fine in camp chef storage bag. No modifications needed to any parts.
