1100 Series Aluminum Door Canopy with Support Arms

In the last year I have purchased and installed two of these canopies, one for a rental house and one for my own home, and I am completely satisfied with both. My roofer suggested this type of canopy as an inexpensive and effective alternative to a costly roof modification on the rental house--adding overhang over the back door to prevent rain from rebounding into the door. My tenant was delighted with the result, so I decided to try one over the 6-ft French doors onto my deck. These canopies are easy to assemble and quick to install with basic tools--it took me less than 90 minutes from opening the box to admiring the newly installed canopy. The colors (at least on my computer) are true and the assortment of sizes is more than adequate for most installations. They are well designed, stable, and strong (although very lightweight) and mine have held up extremely well so far. Since the weather here in the South mostly ranges from moderate to hot, I don't really know how it would hold up in snow, but it has performed well so far in rain, light ice, and wind gusts of over 20 mph with no leaking, bending or damage of any kind. My only regret is not getting one of these sooner.

The awning was easy to put together and easy to hang. The directions that came with it helped, but I found myself using a video for guidance when putting it together and installing. Two weeks up, so far so good.

I love that I could get an awning that wasn't basic silver color. However, this needs two skilled people to install. Directions are not very clear and it's a hit and miss on how it goes together. Thankfully I had one installed a couple years ago and we could use that for reference. Took my son and grandson 2 hours to put together and install. Once they could make sense of it, it went up without any problems but it is a little difficult to handle thus 2 people are needed. I have another one saved for another window and will be ordering it soon.

You would have to be a complete moro...censored..... :-) to screw up this installation. My 5 year old grandson laid out mine for me so I wouldn't screw it up. He instinctively put each piece right where it needed to be (well to be honest he had the picture) and all i had to do was fasten it together. :-) It is sturdy, easy to put together and all the hardware was right there just waiting to be put in place. I'm very satisfied with the quality plus the ease of putting it together and then in place over the door.

was a gift for our daughter. has been installed and looks good and sturdy. instructions and photos could of been a little bigger. took a little longer to assemble.

Will protect door from rain dripping of roof and help protect door from water drip. May have to take down when the hurricane comes.

It blocks the mid day sun which hit this door. It survived sustained winds in excess of 100 mph for several hours. Great investment, easy install, durable.
