Bucilla Christmas Sampler Stamped Cross Stitch Quilt Kit

The threads in this kit are an absolute disaster. What a mess trying to sort and count the strands. I've spent hours doing this and then i find out that I need to wash the thread in vinegar water so they won't bleed. Ridiculous!! I've been embroidering and doing cross stitch for over 60 years and have never had to wash thread or spend this amount of time sorting threads. I'm very disappointed!! I've purchased the Bucillia brand in the past and was satisfied, but this kit is working me to death. I doubt I will order this brand again.

I agree with other reviews in the thread was a tangled mess & the quality of the thread is very poor. I have had so much breakage & knotting with this thread. I am about 3/4 complete with the whole project & I have had to purchase at least 6 different colors of thread that I ran out of & there will probably be at least 2 if not 3 more colors that I will have to purchase. Very disappointing as I don't live anywhere close to craft stores. the project is very pretty but it definitly is not for beginners & wouldn't recommend with the lack of quality & quantity of thread that was provided especially for the price of the kit.

What a mess. Thread was tossed into a bag to sort, then told to wash thread because it might not be color fast. Again a mess to keep thread from getting tangled. No needle included. Pattern is really hard to read as to which color goes where. This project is not for beginners. Challenging is a good word for this project from the time you open the package.

Received my order today the package says it contains the floss, metallic thread and needle however none of that is in the package.

Never buy Bucilla again. Takes hours to separate the thread. They use one 2 strands for the cross stitching rather than 3 as all other brands do. Use only 1 strand for outlining and the thread is so bad it is constantly breaking, what a waste of money. Apparently trying to save money at the expense of their customers. Never, ever buy this brand again.

Looks so pretty in picture but it’s not a quilt it’s a quilt topper no backing just a sheet

The floss don't seem the best quality. I have had it break a little over half way when I was stitching. Still looks beautiful when the stitching is done.

The color/symbols guide is incorrect or does not come with the correct amount of floss for the completion of the project. I just began and it and will have to purchase more string and/or redo the work completed if following the guide given.

I bought this thinking it was a "ready-to-go" quilt which only needed to embroider. It is actually just the top piece with the stamped design. You need to buy batting and backing material to make it into a blanket. Also, the embroidery floss came in a big messy ball, which I had to spend some time picking apart before i could organize the colours and begin the project. A little disappointing....

It looks like it will be a beautiful afghan. It is missing the gold floss but luckily I have some in my stash.

Over summer been working on this, love it, but.....I have run out of two colours already, don’t understand why they can’t put enough floss in these kits. Frustrating, find that when you buy the same number, the floss is a little off in the colour.
