Excellent book on 0–3-year-olds.
Excellent book with information to help you raise your 0-3 child. I am very impressed with this book. Probably the best book I have read on this topic. It covers just about everything you need to know like diapers, feeding, toys, skin care, traveling with your baby, buying a stroller, and much more. Your doctor doesn't have time to tell you all you need to know and they don't recommend a book to read either. This is the book to help you and give you some confidence.

Super informative without cutesy language
My OB gave me a free copy of What To Expect When You’re Expecting and I felt like the tone often came across as sexist and too cutesy. I bought this after reading some reviews, and this was MUCH better. More informative and in-depth without trying too hard. I recommend it to any friends I know who are expecting now.

Must have- especially for first time parents
I am expecting my first baby in 7ish weeks and started reading this book in preparation for my early days as a parent. I am well pleased with its organization & scientifically minded content. Why I like it:- book is organized really well to help you quickly target the information you want at any given time.- the information is scientifically grounded but written in a simple, practical manner and isn’t jargony.- illustrations & diagrams are used wisely to improve/expand understanding of different concepts.- for each month of baby’s development, little snapshots of expected milestones are summarized in each chapter for easy reference.- you don’t have to read the entire book in one go (that would be overwhelming) but you can pick & choose what would be relevant for the first few months and then swing back later to check out other topics as baby gets older.- excellent reference for both mums and birthing partners alike.

Great book!
My pediatrician recommended this book and I'm glad she did. I haven't been able to get through the whole book yet, but it has so much information in it that has helped me when I am curious about something. It covers a wide range of information and definitely is something any parent should have on hand. There is photos too which help you see if your baby is experiencing the same thing.

Easy to read
This book is easy to read, and isn't as much like a reference manual compared to some other books.

I have read a lot of pregnancy and parenting books, this one is GREAT. Finally unbiase
This book is WONDERFUL. It has so much information, but it's easy to read, it doesn't feel overwhelming like "Caring for your baby and young child" (which is basically an encyclopedia from the AAP, felt like I was reading a textbook) And it's not emotional, so it's not draining to read (like "Nurture" which is the best but written by a doula and literally asks you to face emotions). But the most impressive part is IT'S NOT BIASED!! That's just incredible, I learned about breastfeeding, but I also learned about formula! I feel like all books has a bias -pro-breastfeeding and attacks and insults any other choice. I'm so sick of that, I want to learn about everything I can, not be told what to do! "Real Food for Pregnancy" (which is good for a pregnancy food book) insults vegetarianism, Ina May Gaskin books villainize anything but natural birth, and The Fourth Trimester is a book of fear tactics. This book doesn't try to scare you, doesn't overwhelm you with feelings, is easy to read and doesn't feel overly dense, and has information that I have never read in any other books because it is the other choice other than the most popular. Read this book!! You'll finally get unbiased information!!!
