Measure twice, modify once
The modularity of this design made it easy for me to modify it safely to add an extra shelf. I might have wanted to make a special purchase of only the one extra shelf, four shorter cylinders, and 8 plastic end caps, but at this price I didn't mind purchasing a second TV Stand. When I'm ready to replace the older stand in the bedroom, the cylinders and shelves I have left over will make it easy to craft an even taller unit for that location, after buying one more TV Stand. My TV room has a perfect space for an entertainment center, a grotto and another inset space, just beneath the stairs. This constrained the size of the TV and Stand, so measurement before any purchase was crucial; I can't understand why so many reviewers didn't measure properly before they ordered. I wanted the TV to sit on the top shelf, far forward, which means the new center speaker would need room to fit in the space beneath the top shelf; this unit fit the bill perfectly. That would leave me only one more shelf on the bottom for the AV Receiver, Disc Players, Game Consoles, Logitech Harmony Hub, and Amazon Dot. I didn't want to use the space on the top shelf, just beneath the TV, for Disc Players, because that's a more convenient spot for remotes and media packaging to live. The size of the cylindrical spacers for the Stand's base adds enough height for the SACD and UHD Players to fit side by side, with the addition of one more shelf between the Center Speaker and the AV Center. I did not have room to place the shelf at the height of the taller cylindrical spacers, so this modification added only 8 centimeters to height of the unit.In hindsight, I might have looked for four replacement rods that were 80 millimeters longer, but four bolts and nuts were easy enough to order online, after learning what the measurements meant at the local hardware store which didn't stock anything that short. Here are the specs for the extender, threaded the same way as the provided rods: Thread Size: M8 x 80mm/0.3" x 3" (D*L), Thread Pitch: 1.25mmI decided to put the extender just below the top shelf. I seriously doubt that the extender, or the weight of the additional shelf (heavier than the Disc Players it holds) make the unit any less sturdy. The chrome cylinders are the only thing keeping the shelves apart; my only concern is that I would like to have a slightly heftier chunk of metal than the shiny tin cans provided. The inspiration for this was seeing another reviewer who bought two units and simply stacked them, without anything other than weight connecting them, to my mind a highly precarious situation. My approach is far more stable and sturdy; I wouldn't be comfortable adding more than one shelf. I was very happy about how safely everything was packaged, each unit double boxed. I would have preferred honeycombed cardboard spacers to the styrofoam. Also, while I was shopping for new speakers, the 1980's called and asked to have its black and chrome back.

Decent quality glass stand for the price
The media could not be loaded. I have been slowly working on building a movie watching room and one of the things I decided I needed was a stand of some sort. I actually have been looking for a stand similar to the one that I bought a few years ago from a brand named Powell. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be made anymore as I couldn’t find one or even one close to it anymore. So I decided to find something else. This stand was reasonably priced and I decided to give it a chance. Quality wise it isn’t as heavy duty as the Powell but to be fair, that stand was almost three times the price of this one, so I didn’t expect it to be.This comes with the instructions, 3 pieces of black tempered glass, 4 steel rods and the tubing and plastic feet. This is fairly easy to assemble as you assemble upside down and start from the top glass piece upside down and screw in each of the metal rods. It took me only a few minutes to put together. The most important thing to remember is to make sure you put the shiny part of the glass up when you are assembling.I was hoping for a bit sturdier tubing for the legs as I thought the metal thin and I wasn’t crazy about the plastic end caps that you slide the metal rod through that fell out very easily as they were not permanently attached and didn’t even have a way to screw them into place. The stand once assembled is roughly 45 inches by 18 inches by 20 inches high. To my surprise once this was completely put together and screwed tightly, the table was surprisingly strong and sturdy. Since this holds up to 100 pounds, since flat screens so light these days, I could put my 65-inch TV on this. For me, though I am planning to wall mount the TV and instead weight is less of an issue as I am using this stand for the accessories such as the cable box and stereo receiver so it has plenty of space for my needs. The stand itself looks nice and modern with the black glass and suits my purpose just fine. The downside to the black glass though it that it tends to show fingerprints more than clear glass.Pros:Reasonably priceStylish and modern lookGood quality strong glassEasy to assembleSturdy and stable once assembleCons:Hollow metal tubing is a bit thinPlastic end caps for the tubes just sit loosely and come out easily when being assemble (They should be permanently attached or you should be able to screw them into place.)Black glass tends to show fingerprintsNot as heavy duty as more expensive standsNo warranty information4 stars

Looks nice, 55 inch TV fits perfectly, can't complain for the price.
I was looking for a tv stand to place my 55-inch tv on since most tv manufacturers want us to buy a table, to place their tv somewhere. Anyways..., I purchased this stand out of desperation and my expectations were really low, and boy was I surprised. Setting it up is not that difficult, at times some of the pieces feel like they have been put on wrong, but that is how they were intended to be put on. I didn't have any confidence in putting my tv on there, but after I put it on its been fine for the past month. I have had no issues or anything concerning that has happened yet. If you buy this stand please also make sure to do some research, it has a weight limit of 99 pounds on the top glass that supports the tv. I have a Samsung 55 inch tv (QN55Q6FNFXZA). It is about 39 pounds which are well under the weight limit, and that is just something you have to keep in mind buying this tv stand. Other than that it was better than I expected for the price I paid for it.

Perfect
I've had this for almost 2 years now and it's perfect. I have my TV, sound bar and xbox on it, plus a basket of games, and basket of controllers. I was nervous to buy at first because some of the negative reviews, but it was easy to put together. I think the people who had theirs break must try to move it with all their stuff on it. I've had zero issues with it.
