Q: This door is listed for an opening of 80” x 28”. Why is the width dimension 29.7”? It would not fit 28” wide opening.

Could there be a typographical error in the product description? You are correct, a measurement of 29.7 inches wide would not fit a 28" wide opening. Is it possible you were reading the door description for the 30" door?? I hope this helps clarify.

Q: I have a 28x78.25 opening. Subtracting the track and pivot hardware of 1.25 inches, the door would have to b cut at 77 inches tall.

I had the same problem. If you cut the door that short it will be too tight to pivot on the bottom bracket. I took the doors apart, bought 6 hinges and mounted them cafe-style instead of bifold (a lot of work but 28”W is a difficult size to find.

No, you can't. The slats are mainly for air circulation.

Tell the post office you are refusing delivery and to return to sender. If the package was not opened there will be no cost to return.

I ordered the hard to find 28" version. Came well packaged..no damage. Easy to install....The hardware is a tad on the flimsy side.I used a self priming white paint and a baby cheap 2" roller.Looks nice.

The wooden door is nice

The door itself is lightweight but nice and worth the price. The hardware is cheap and awful however so I ordered a much better separate set “made in USA”.
