I bought this to test my hot tub bromine and PH levels. It is AMAZING – one of the better decisions I’ve made in terms of purchases for the hot tub. It is very easy to follow the directions, and saves a lot of money. I was using the individual test strips, but was getting frustrated because I was spending about twenty dollars per month on the strips. In addition to being expensive, the strips are hard to tell what the actually chlorine/bromine level is at. With this kit, the levels you need to check are very clear. Because of that, it will save you money by not using unnecessary chemicals. This is a really good tool for if you want to keep chemicals balanced and check daily, but don’t want to pay a ton of money in the individual test strips. I only routinely do bromine and PH tests, but love this kit because I have the capability of running pretty much any test I would need to maintain chemical balances in the hot tub. It comes with instructions, a tube to help fill the testing canister with water, the testing canister, all of the drops needed to check levels for all of the necessities for balancing the chemicals, and a case to hold all of the supplies I just listed. I have already recommended to all of my friends that have hot tubs. Taylor is a great, trusted brand for all chemical pool or hot tub supplies. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I took over my pool in summer. due to too many and long vacations our pool every summer had problems. I did all the PVC work why not just completely take over. Glad I did. Put a new Motor bought at Amazon. Primes lightning speed fast. I did all my research and started. It is about 5 months my pool looks like diamond. At first I used the basic Pool master kit, PH was OK . Alkaline way high. Now 5 month later alkaline is 120 ppm PH 7.4. Chlorine a little high which basically means I am spending too much on different products and is not economical. Now I bought the Taylor kit I knew there will be some changes in reading. However, they both show that my PH is almost Ideal. Alkaline are one to two points different. Result is that the reading between two different companies are very close to one another. That is a good peace of mind. Taking care of the pool is not for every one but if you up to it you can do it . I changed the Gage monitor make sure to buy the one that shows when it is time to clean your filter. One important note if your pool reading is Ideal, don't try too many different product stick to the one that is working. My next task is to bring my body to a PH level.

Everything needed to test a pool is included but the instructions are incomplete. My previous Taylor test kit came with a chart to determine how much of what chemical needed to be added. The instructions included with this kit only advise you to contact your local pool supply store. If I'm going to contact them, why not just take the water sample in and let them test it? Luckily I still had my old instructions or this kit what be somewhat useless.

I've been using test strips for a long time. After frustration frequently with different shades of color within the PH and Alk squares I knew I needed something else. I use the strips still for quick checks but I can use this test kit to make sure all is well. I like this kit because it's easy to use it has simple directions and the box is well organized. I highly recommend!!

Been using this test kit since May 2024 to test our hot tub. Lots of chemicals left. Easy to use.
