Does anyone agree with me that the buckle is hard to open?

I'll Shut up if U Buy this
This is a replacement for a Graco car seat with a similar design that my in-laws have decided to keep. This one us a thousand times better. It is more compact in the sense that that top sides don't "flare out," making it less comfortable for older siblings to sit next too. & the padding is to die for! This thing is luxury soft. My youngest daughter has always hated being in the car & complains & cries cuz the car seat "hurts her bum, back, legs , & peepee." Well after pulling apart an older infant car seat I can see why. There's nothing but hard plastic n thin material. Also another complaint of hers is she gets hot with the nonbreathable/non swear whicking material. But Maxi Cosi has addressed ALL of these issues. My 3 year old is now obsessed with this thing! This is my honest &longest review. But this has been a legit lifesaver for the family who WAS always on the road miserable...not anymore!

Safest and Comfiest car seat!
This car seat is superior! We previously had a car seat that wasn’t so comfy so baby would cry and not enjoy car rides. When she would finally fall asleep, her head would roll over really far to the side, and would give us anxiety because we would constantly be worrying if she was breathing or not.We love that this seat keeps their head in place and is super comfy and plush. No need to buy a head support or padding for the seat belt, it’s now built into the car seat. The pink color is amazing, it’s not too bright or overpowering. We love knowing we have a car seat that will last until she outgrows forward facing as well. Last but not least, the most important thing of this car seat is the great ratings for safety in case of a car accident. We will definitely be buying another one in the future for our next baby!

Thinking of buying a different one.
I bought this car seat for my 2 month old since she reached 10 pounds. Thing is when they rear face the straps have to come below the shoulders. They do not. And they probably won’t until she’s around 4-5 months. Also the straps will tighten on one side more than the other. I’ve messed with it several times to fix this but it goes right back to tightening more on one side. It is a nice comfy car seat but I won’t be able to use it for a while. Manufacturing date was 2018 also so that takes 2 years off when I can use it when it expires. Also if you use it even once they won’t let you return it, I emailed them to ask. How do you know if you’re going to like it if you don’t try it out?6 months and finally the straps fit right.

Great seat, but they need to fix the issue everyone has with tightening the harness straps!
We've been using this carseat for over a year now, and while I do love it, it has some pretty unfortunate drawbacks. The fabric is so soft and comfy, and washes up BEAUTIFULLY in the washer/dryer. I hate a grimy carseat, so that's been a huge plus for me. My kiddo isn't exactly easy-going, and she's never complained about the seat's comfort...another huge plus. The integrated cupholder is great and easy to clean. Installation isn't exactly a breeze, but once you're familiar with how it fits into your specific car, it's not rocket science either. I can install it alone in just a couple minutes. The biggest issue I have is the difficulty in tightening the straps. It's nearly impossible and I'm amazed this issue hasn't been fixed. In theory, you should simply be able to pull the strap to tighten the harness, but it doesn't work. It'll tighten to a certain point then lock up with a ton of slack still in the straps. To compensate for this ridiculousness, I have to reach behind the seat (we're rear facing still), pull the harness straps from back there to remove the slack, then pull the strap to tighten. Now that I'm in the habit of doing it that way, it's really no inconvenience, but it also means this seat is useless to me forward-facing since I won't be able to access the harness straps from the back of the seat. Pretty frustrating when you've spent good money on a seat that should last you well into the forward-facing years. So for now, I'll enjoy this seat while we continue to rear-face...then I'll go back to Britax.

Tough to get baby snug
One star because none of my wife, mother, and mother-in-law are able to get the straps snugly on my daughter.Like all seats I've used, the two shoulder straps join the single tightening strap by a flat, rigid fitting behind the seat. However,in this seat at my daughter's current size (26lbs, 14 months) this fitting interacts with a ridge on the back of the seat. When pulling on the tightening strap, this ridge creates the illusion that the straps are snug, when in fact there is still a lot of play in them.To get the seat properly tight, I need to feel for this connection, center and pull it down with my right hand while pulling the tightening strap with my left hand. This guides the fitting over the right and gets the shoulder straps properly tight. This problem will self-correct as my daughter gets bigger, but it is a serious issue right now and no child safety seat should require this much thought and experimentation to work correctly. One star seems harsh but these are supposed to keep kids safe and if it isn't easy to tighten then kids aren't safe.

Great seat. Horrible buckle.
We saved up for this seat for a long time, hopeful that it would be a good fit for our claustrophobic daughter. She has done much better on car trips as this seat is wide and fairly roomy. We refer to it as her "pink throne" as it takes up a seat and a half in our Toyota Avalon. The cushions are thick and prevent her legs from falling asleep even on long trips. The upper cushions make for a nice pillow on long trips. The fabric does NOT wash well. It has snags in it even using the gentle cycle, and the stains from just dirt on her legs and feet didn't wash out. I absolutely HATE the buckle. I am no wuss, but it takes both hands for me to unbuckle as the button is very stiff and finicky. If not for the buckle, I would give it 5 stars. But as parents know, you almost always have one arm and hand full of stuff, and only one hand free to unbuckle...so it's a major pain in the neck. Other than that, the seat is a win for our family.

Love the car seat, super padded. It's as if the baby is in a huge comfy marshmallow.
