Household Essentials Banana Leaf Magazine Tote

Sturdy, attractive, great size.

I use this for carrying my dirty handheld garden tools around the yard from one garden to the next, and then storing in the garage. I’m going back through my Amazon purchase history and it turns out I’ve owned it for 10 years now. I haven’t had one loose piece of wicker. I guess if you’re wondering if this can take a beating as a magazine rack, I’d say yes.

I purchased this along with the matching waste basket. It's really lovely to look at and makes a great place to put your magazines and books until you are done reading them so they don't clutter coffee tables and end tables, nightstands, etc. The compartments are a little on the narrow side and have some bulging straw inside which is a little rough and narrows it a little more -- but for my purposes it's perfect. I keep it near my bed and it has really neatened things up to have a place to put reading material Plus it adds a nice homey, decorative touch to the room. VERY sturdy, just like the matching waste basket. So glad I purchased it.

I got this to fit in a small space next to my sofa. It is absolutely perfect and is just what I wanted. I only have 2 comments, one is that the banana leaf is so coarse that it would be nice if the inside has a little lining. But that is something that can be worked around. The other problem is that the center line that has the handle doesn't go all the way to the bottom so if you put lighter papers in there they will fold right through to the other side. Other than that I love it!

I really like it. It's exactly what I expected and wanted. I would have rated it a 5 star except I can't say I "love" it (which was the choice this computer program gave me) ... that's a bit much for a magazine rack! I particularly like the fact that it is divided. I labeled one side "to be read" and the other side "already read" . This should make the job easier when deciding which magazines to toss and which to keep.

This may sound weird but I'm useing this great little basket to hide my cable modem, phone modem and wireless router on a high shelf in my office. I put some silk Ivy in the basket and it looks very nice on the shelf. The sides of the basket are high enough that I was able to stand up all three pieces of equiptment without seeing them. I also neatly coiled all the excess wires into the basket. This sure beats seeing all that equipment with the wires and lights. At around 20 bucks you can't go wrong with this basket, who knows you might even want to use it as a magazine rack. The basket is nicely made and very strong, of course as usual the Amazon shipping was fast.

There was a funny smell when I got it, as other reviews had mentioned, and there were a few pieces that seemed to not be attached to anything just laying on the handle and inside it. It seems to have not mattered though. It is sturdy and looks alright, though it is not a centerpiece in my home. Was just something I needed to store magazines out of the way, and nearly, out of site. It has a larger capacity than many others I had seen, and after a day or so, the odd smell was gone.

I needed something to keep my floor from always being cluttered with whatever I happen to be working on. This fit the bill perfectly. The material is a little stiff and there are a couple of spots where, if I'm not careful, I get poked when I pick it up. Thus the four stars instead of five. I like the size and the sturdiness. I believe it could fit a legal size folder, although I don't use it for that, so I'm not positive.

I like it but I don't think it is worth for the money.

I like how the rack blends in with my decor. It was just what I was looking for. Worth the money.

Very pleased with this purchase

While it is handy and not unattractive in a rustic way, it certainly could have been woven better.I do use it daily, but loose sharp ends do protrude and it is easy to prock a finger
