This depends on what Stereo you are installing. If its a Chinese Stereo with Steering Wheel Learn capability then you connect the KEY1, KEY2 & GND wires to the Stereos KEY1, KEY2 & GND wires.

What cable is meant to go in the other side of the connects 2 unit? And what wires do i need to connect the key 1, 2 and ground from my head unit ?

Connects2 Universal Stalk Steering Control Patch Lead Ctmultilead.2 .It depends on the brand of your aftermarket head unit.If you get the patch lead it should have a wiring diagram showing which wire/wires you need to connect.

Question 3

just brought a Sony screen to go into my car. When fitted the stereo works but when I drive the stereo goes crackly. Will this lead fix the issue?

Possibly yes.
However, if you are using an aftermarket radio in a series 8 Civic, you need to attach the blue wire (which is attached to the aerial plug) to a live source. (I wouldn’t use the cigarette lighter though as it might cause interference when you charge your phone for example)
I think the wire I connected to was yellow and Green stripes. You can test for a live wire by turning the ignition to the second position which turns on the power but not the engine, then, test with a multi metre. If you don’t have one, you can use a bulb or led strip. Connect the earth to either an earth wire, or to an unpainted part of the car, then touch the live against a pin on each plug until it lights. Once you find one, you can spice the blue wire to it and insulate it.
The Civic aerial has an in built amplifier which needs a power source for the radio to work properly, and the aerial needs to be free of obstructions like window tint.
Your crackling issues could also come from something  interfering with the wiring like plugging in something to charge or the connections are only spiced together without being properly insulated (I’m not saying you’ve done this, just offering idea why there’s interference)
This kit is a plug and play solution to connect everything up without cutting a wire and also allows you to access the upper display so you can see your heater settings and the clock. You won’t be able to use the steering wheel controls for volume though. 
I totally recommend the wiring for ease of use.
I’ve had no issues with a cheap Chinese radio once I’ve attached the blue wire.
