Strength & Training Book for football players
Hey so yea that book is put together by multiple strength coaches who are apart of the NSCA. It does a great job of explaining strength training specifically for football and does a great job of even going in depth of different workouts for different positions and why it's necessarily. It provides full explanations and photos of the majority of lifts you would use in a program. It also provides sample programs and breaks them down into segments of offseason, in season, recovery and prep. Within those it gives you detailed periodization for those segments and for each one they provide a base workout and then workouts for each positions group and why those changes are needed. It's a pretty great book that takes a ton of work out of creating a great strength program. It doesn't provide anything for speed and conditioning but it does provide plyo and explosions for offseason development.
