Happy Birthday, Thomas! Paperback – Picture Book, September 19, 1990

For less than the price of a nice birthday card, we purchased this book and wrote a note inside the cover for a three year old birthday boy. He is three, and loved it. He was flipping through the book before he opened the gift. These step readers are always amazing books, anyway. Easy to read and not too long for parents to read in one sitting. And later as the kiddos learn to read, they have simple text for that as well. I purchase them often. Great buy.

Hapy Biurthday, Thomas, exceeded, surpassed my expectations. My 4-year old grandson was thrilled and hasn't but it down since he received it. He takes it everywhere to show everyone -- even to show-and-tell at his school. And all his friends love it also.It is unique. He actually plays the cake (Thomas song), sings along and dances to the music. So far, the battery has held up. I've ordered another musical car (Caboose) which I hope he likes as much! At the same time I ordered the Happy Birthday Thomas book. All I can say is "WOW" to both!

I have taught Preschool for 12 years. On the kids birthday, I send home a "Birthday bag". I include books and a scrapbook binder of all the kids. This is one of the books that I included this year. I love the story. The kids love this story the best out of all the books in our birthday bag.

While it's for a child learning to read, I bought it for my son's 2nd birthday. If he had his way, we would read it every night! I rotate his books so we don't get bored with them, and recently started reading this one again - for Poppa's birthday. He then thought Poppa would want "presents, balloons, and silly hats" for his birthday, just like Thomas did, lol.

One of my son's favorite series, especially this one because he sings happy birthday to Thomas along with the story. Bright clear language and art work. We love the gentle life lessons, especially about friendship, courage, and kindness, told in a way that catches my son's attention.

We have read this book at our annual "Day Out With Thomas Event" for several years. My granddaughter LOVES it. Our museum store was not able to order it for me, so I checked Amazon. SCORE! She was so happy!

Very cute book. My son received it as a gift for his birthday. The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 is because Thomas shouts MOVE when upset multiple times in a part of the story. My 4 year old was a little thrown off by that because we teach our kids to say "excuse me" when someone is in our way. We used it as a learning opportunity about how to react when frustrated so it was not a big deal. I would still purchase it even knowing it used poor manners.

I bought this book as a party favor for a Thomas the Train themed 3 year old birthday party. The kids loved it and I have had a few parents tell me the kids ask them to read it to them. Fun, inexpensive and it wasn't a bag of plastic toys that get tossed after a few days.

Bought this for a friends 3yr old and it was cuter than I thought when it arrived. The cover is a little sparkly, the illustrations are full page and colourful and it also came with stickers. The sentences are easy to read with large printing so it would be a great book for beginner readers as well.

Perfect for my son . Got it as a birthday gift

「おぉ、文字がデカい！」の第一印象で、字の大きさ・字体も、これから文字を学ぼうとしている子どもに親切だと思いました。ストーリーも楽しいですし、このシリーズ集めたくなりました。
