Perfect Condition, Fully Unlocked
This phone is exactly what I was looking for. There were zero scratches or damage. It looks brand newI bought this one to replace my previous Pixel 3a (after dropping it on a surface that shattered my screen). The interface is very smooth and intuitive. The size fits nicely in my hand and pockets (as a smaller person, this is a deal-breaker). The price is more than reasonable--especially for the quality you get.The camera works great, and it seems to have the same basic battery life of my previous Pixel.I listen to a lot of podcasts at work, so I only make it one day on a full charge. But I simply plug it in every night. The phone shipped quickly and actually arrived early. It was well packaged and came with a charger. But not an adapter for transferring data from your previous phone (luckily, I have one from a previous phone)There are some reviews that the phones weren't fully unlocked or didn't work with their network. My phone worked perfectly with my carrier (Ting) which runs on a CDMA network.I definitely recommend the Pixel 3a to anyone looking for a decently sized phone.

Refurb Pixel 3a -- All Good
This refurbished Pixel 3a arrived safely and appears perfectly new. No documentation accompanied the shipment, but once the phone was turned on I was guided to setup which included tethering to my old phone to upload contacts and apps. Very smooth procedure. No SIM card with the phone and my old one does not fit, but my local Verizon store took care of it in just a few moments and I was up and running. This was a transition from a very old phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) and the rep at Verizon told me that I would not be able to go back to my old phone in the future. This was news to me, not that I want to, but I had expected to have the old phone as backup and this appears not to be possible. The explanation I received is that the old phone is 3/4G and Verizon is moving to 4/5G. Why there is no "overlap" in the 4G range is something I don't understand and can only speculate about. In fairness, however, it is hard to see myself ever wanting to go back to my old phone just because the Pixel 3a is really a pleasure to use. Apps seem to run almost instantaneously. I can't really offer a detailed review of the Pixel 3a any further than that. The seamless integration with all things Google is a bit scary in the abstract, but the experience of that integration is a bit addictive. I'm glad I bought this phone and the experience with the vendor was fine. The free shipping was punishingly slow, but it was free, so...

Solid phone, a bit short on battery life
The unlocked phone is solid, and is easily updated with the latest Android system and security updates. Great value for daily use.It also comes with a feature that let you transfer all of the app/data from an old phone. It works quite well but not perfect. In my case, copying from an old Android phone, most of the apps and theirs settings were copied over. The most glaring omission was SMS messages were not copied over.A couple minus points specifically to the used / renewed phone I got:1. The charger is a slow 5W charger: I am hoping for a 18W charger (like what it should come with in a new phone).2. The battery life seems to be a bit short. I suspect, but am not sure, it is partly because of the wear/tear of the used phone.

Not worth the hassle
I purchased a refurbished pixel 3a (g020e) from the seller CrownProducts, for some reason the same listing that it says I purchase it from is a different seller less than a week later (Prime Mobility). The sketchiness doesn't even stop there. The listing said it would include an AC Adapter, USB-C to C Cable, OTG Dongle, SIM tool, and Quick Start Guide. Nope. It came with an extremely dirty used unbranded USB-A to USB-C cable, a used lens rag, and a small Google box that had been poorly retaped shut. I needed a phone, so I continued working with it. The phone had bootloader unlocked. Major red flag, but I continued. I performed a factory reset, relocked bootloader (not at all easy you practically need a PHD to perform this without bricking the phone), and begun using the phone. I have now found that the camera and flashlight do not work. What a horrible experience. Maybe the seller will make things right, but highly doubtful. My trust with Amazon and these miscellaneous sellers is completely gone.

Great budget smartphone with flagship features
I went back to Android (again) this time when replacing my old iPhone 6S Plus. The Pixel 3a sacrifices a miniscule amount of screen size (not enough to matter in my case, and makes the phone easier to hold in one hand) and some ease of use/setup (especially when trying to communicate with my iOS friends via text at first, and some hiccups getting it to play with Android Auto in my car), but offers most of the basic functionality of the iPhone, with a camera that's easier to use well (night mode is pretty impressive when trying to capture the night sky), Google call screening (has saved me unquantifiable annoyance, no longer having to deal directly with all those scam robocalls), and at a fraction of the price of an iPhone. And there are guaranteed OS updates from Google, which can't be said for most other Android phones out there. I've had this for several months now and overall I'm very happy with it. I'll probably stick with Pixels for the foreseeable future, at least until Apple can catch up on the call screening feature. That alone is an iPhone killer for me.

Nice camera and works well
I picked this up as a phone for underway...but not with the intention of constantly using it.It works great for this purpose and then some. The buttons are well placed and function easily. The screen has a nice size, the touch screen works great, and even the finger print reader is amazingly easy to handle. I do love the camera on this one as the pictures turn out wonderful for my purposes. It's probably not as fancy as more expensive phones, but for the price, I'm more than satisfied.
