King Dark Brown Modern Platform Bed/Modern Platform Bed Leatherette Bed with Tufted Headboard & European Slats

We LOVE our bed. It really was not too difficult to put together. Definitely a two person job, but pretty easy. The slats are definitely adequate, but we are considering fashioning something a bit more sturdy to support the mattress. But don't let that daunt you. Good quality.

I don't know why, but when I moved to my new place, I really wanted a California King size bed. I live alone, I don't have any pets, and I don't even move around when I sleep. After about a month of searching, including all the local furniture shops, I settled on this one. I read some interesting reviews and some of the one who weren't happy with it seemed like they (customer) were at fault.I ordered the bed and waited. Within a day, a representative called me to verify the address and the product. She also advised me that it will be a third- party shipping company, not any of the usual (FedEx, UPS, etc). The driver called three days later to let me know that he'd be arriving tomorrow around 2pm. I met him at the curb and he helped me carry the three pieces in. TIP: Be sure to check all three boxes for any damages before signing the form. Mine did not have any damages and I signed the form.Then I realized I have to carry these piece upstairs to my bedroom... by myself.After about an hour of turning and leveraging, I finally got the pieces upstairs. Then I spent the next half an hour bringing two of the pieces back downstairs since I had no room to unpack the boxes. I finally got all the pieces out and laid them out. The instruction could use some more explanation and better pictures but the concept is easy enough so if you've ever put together Ikea furniture, you can put this one together.It took about two hours to put it together myself so with someone helping, it shouldn't take more than an hour. TIP: Be sure to have a drill and make sure it's not one of those tiny 8 watt baby drills. Be sure to have a drill that can force the screws into tight holes (lol that sounds so dirty).All in all, I'm very happy with the bed. It doesn't squeak, bobble, shift - or even move - at all. In fact, if you want to move this behemoth, it's going to take more than one person. Enjoy!Oh, and don't mind the bunny. It was a present from someone and I feel bad about leaving it on the floor... so it chills on my giant bed now.

Bed looks great, not as soft on the sides as I would have liked. Not all the slats were delivered with the bed, but they called within a few hours of leaving a message (On a Sunday) and sent them within one to two days!! Yet to sleep on it, but looks good overall. Only drawback I saw was that it took a good 3-5 hours to put together.
