The Accelerometer that is easy to use
Adafruit makes it easy to create prototype ideas in a weekend, by creating breakouts for all the major IC's on the market and providing libraries to have you tine interfacing with 12C and such you can build amazing things faster than ever. Well except for shipping from Adafruit! It will often cost the parts price or more to have it shipped from there NYC office to California, and will often take 5-8 business days. So having access to some of the parts on Amazon makes getting one or two parts quickly achivable! Man do I love having prime!

Probably the easyest accelerometer to use for people new to I2C or programing
Great product with great support. I feel that it was really worth it to spend a bit more for this accelerometer over some of the less expensive ones available on Amazon and elseware because:- Automatic level shifting allows interfacing with either 3.3 volt or 5 volt logic- Outstanding support on the Adafruit website including libraries.- Very well madeIt was super easy to have the accelerometer up and running in just a few minutes. The unit appears to be extremely sensitive and accurate as well.

Soldering is needed for this product. Comes with the pins to solder to the device. If you already have a breadboard, use that to your advantage with soldering this device. Gives the hard data using the Arduino system.

Fantastic quality Acceleromter and a low price.I'm using this for my robot design.

Unit Destroyed sent to me from someone else.
Since it was coming from adafruit I expected something that wasn't destroyed.My unit has half the bottom PCB scratched off, exposing the metal.Absolute piece of garbage sent to me that was returned from another person.I've personally bought lots from adafruit, but this is a piece of junk.
