I could not find hermit crab food anywhere in the stores and thank goodness for Amazon backup! I found this food with good reviews. So glad that I took a leap of faith and purchased this product because my hermit crab loves it!!! I used to buy the crab cakes which are bigger. This food is smaller and perfect for the hermit. He eats it up right away! I am officially buying this product from now on! Please keep it in stock. The price is right and my hermit crab is all smiles. :)

I bought a hermit crab on vacay and they included a powder like food in the kit (no ingredient list which I thought was strange) For the first few days he picked at it and I just assumed he was still trying to acclimate to his new habitat and was too stressed to eat. I started researching other foods to incorporate into his diet (b/c who doesn't want a healthy, happy pet). I tested some fruits and veggies and he definitely went for mostly everything I tried out. I came across this brand and read the ingredients and reviews and it seemed to be good. When I got it I immediately prepared his food dish with his fruits, veggies, and these pellets. When he came out for his feast he ran over his fruits and veggies to get to these pellets!!! I think he stayed in his dish for an hour afterwards!! I think the pellets make it easier for him to consume but he can't talk so I'll never know. I definitely recommend these!! *Side note- Keep away from cats! Whatever is in this stuff smells so good and tastes even better to my furr babies. It's a fight everytime I open the container to feed my crab.

i offer fresh fruit and vegetables daily i also add hermit crab mix food, i seen this oroduct figured i would give it a try. i placed a few pellets near my hermit crab and instantly his antenna's started moving around he went to the food this morning i checked and the pellets have all been eaten so clearly they enjoyed them. personally to my nose the food didnt have to much of a smell but the hermits noticed it right away and liked it. i hooe this will be a good thing for them because i have been giving them regular hermit crab food blend along with the fresh fruit and vegetables and they really do not care to eat the regular common hermit food i have offered. so so far so good.

I was gifted 2 hermit crabs 3 years ago and have become a devoted "hermie mom" since then. My crabs are very healthy and molt well on this food. I always mist the cage daily and provide both salt and fresh water. I give them treats of organic spinach, apples and oatmeal, but this is their primary diet. It does have a fish smell when you open the jar, but I think that's an indication of a healthy food.

Good for the price, will last for a good while!
