Excellent paper but not my favorite

I'm new to painting, so I didn't know the difference between papers. I ordered a few kinds. I've found I prefer a slightly larger page AND a block in preference to a pad. A block is glued on all four sides with a space to slip in a letter opener or a flat knife when the page has dried, so the paper doesn't buckle when wet. This paper did not buckle all that much, only a trifle, but I still prefer the 9"x12" blocks to this 8.3"x11.7 pad. This might be fine for children who are painting strictly for play when you're not planning to save the finished product. The advantage of a pad is that you can tear out pages and pass them around, whereas with a block, the painting is not removed from the block until it's finished. So now I have two blocks, so I can start on a new painting while the first one is still drying. I'll probably donate this pad to Goodwill, someone will probably be very happy to receive it. The paper is excellent quality.
