Kitchen Bouquet Browning & Seasoning Sauce, 32 oz

This is a vegetarian browning and seasoning, perfect for soups and browning such foods as vegetables, tofu, and vegetarian gravy. I have used this product for 50+ years, and it's a must have for my kitchen.

I was glad to find a large jug of this stuff. Most stores sell that little bottle. Got here quickly and in good condition.

I have to restrict the sodium in my diet. This is a good substitute for soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce (both high in sodium), as it has only 5 mg of sodium per teaspoon. And if you buy the 32 ounce bottle, it is very reasonably priced. (There are other good substitutes for soy sauce, but they are quite expensive.) I generally sprinkle on some salt substitute, such as Benson's Table Tasty, or a substitute based on potassium chloride. I usually use it in cooking things like Chinese-style vegetable dishes.

My favorite recipe calls for this product so I was thrilled to find it on Amazon, as our local store no longer stocks it. I admit I was a little bit leery of buying such a large bottle, but for us it worked out great. Now that most restaurants are closed, we are grilling at least once a week, so I feel this was a great value. I keep mine in the refrigerator and believe it should be good for at least a year.

I use this when I am making gravy. It makes it darker and the seasoning is very good. I always have a bottle around my kitchen.

I have a hard time finding this gem in grocery stores, but I've been using it since I was about 18, but my mom used it pretty much most of my life, and the color and flavor of her gravy was awesome! Hence the reason for me using it for the last 50 years! I love this and haven't been dissatisfied ever! Now I found it on Amazon (my favorite online shopping platform), and it's in an econosize!!! Mine arrived intact, sealed up like a little shrunkwrapped mummy, and I'm just refilling my smaller bottle.A little bit goes a long way.
