Amazonia Bahamas 5-Piece Eucalyptus Round Dining Set

We loved the set when we got it, very elegant looking. Evidently it’s no match for Texas summers as after a year the wood is bleached and splotchy. Except for the legs and undersides it no longer retains its beautiful red color even with oil on it. Unfortunately we paid far more for it then it’s current going price and feel we could’ve done better with our $1200. The first photo posted is after it had been cleaned. The second photo is with oil applied. As you can see, not much difference. If anyone knows how to get back it’s original color please let me know!

This review is based on my receiving and assembling the table. I’ll follow up with how it holds up after a year.The wood is nice... cut well, finished well, feels solid and sturdy, like a hardwood... not quite oak, but certainly not like pine.The mesh on the chairs is nice, comfortable... one of six in the set I bought was stretched loose across the back by the metal bar on the chair stacked next to it in the box. Maybe it will recover it’s taught-ness with some hot and cold weather.The instructions will make you laugh if English is your first language, but they get the job done. It’s not hard to assemble, but DEFINITELY get yourself a hex bit for your cordless drill.The tolerances for the connections between the wood and metal chair parts leave a lot to be desired, and I didn’t force many of the screws that hold the front of the chair mesh all the way for fear of cracking the wood.It was really hard to get one side of the table closed on the fold up center leaf because the metal pin was not lined up with the hole ... had to try to bend the pin with channel locks, but ultimately forced the wood to line it up.One design shortcoming is that two chairs will not fit between the table legs, so no pushing them in out of the way when you’re not using them. Makes it a little awkward when sitting in them, too... you kind of have to straddle the table leg, which puts you too much towards the end of the table.But, I looked at some BEAUTIFUL wood tables that were better made... maybe more hand crafting... but they were twice the price as this, or more. If this one holds up to use and weather, I’ll be really happy with it.

I think this was such a good deal. I’ve only had it for two seasons so far, summer and fall In eastern Pennsylvania, put it is a very nice looking, sturdy and comfortable patio set. It has been through numerous heavy rains and strong PA summer sun and is holding up really well. Installation takes a little time. It took me a little over an hour and that includes the time it took to apply the wood protectant, which came with the furniture, but the instructions were spot on. Just follow the instructions and you’ll have yourself a really wonderful piece of patio furniture.Pros:- Beautiful, sturdy, durable wood- Easy to install, the instructions are easy to follow.- All tools come with the furniture, in nice individual packages so you are not rummaging through bolts and screws trying to find which one is for which piece. Very easy instructions and tools.- Very comfortable- Great price for what you get.- Expandable when you install the included leaf.- Hole in center of table to hold an umbrella.Cons:- With the leaf in the four side chairs do not fit between the legs of the table when you push them under the table, so they stick out further then what I like.- There is no hole in the center of the table when you remove the leaf to make it smaller.Although I would have liked to be able to have an umbrella in the center of the table when smaller and be able to push the chairs in all the way on the sides, I was willing to forgo these desires because the price was so much lower than any other comparable patio set.

Really struggled with this rating, since I do really like the set and it appears to be well made overall. The problem is that the wood for the chairs is much darker than the table itself (see pics). We love both colors-just not so much together. The table is clearly marked 100% eucalyptus as per the info on Amazon website. However, the chairs are marked "mixed" wood, and the arms and legs are really a fancy "plywood" type construction. I do understand that with the curves in the design this makes construction easier, but appears the manufacturer had to then stain the finished product-and stain is much darker than the table--not really sure base wood used on the chairs. I spoke to Amazon and they said only recourse would be to send back entire set-not just chairs or just wooden elements of the chairs. I am concerned that any replacement set will probably share the same problem, since chairs are not constructed from solid wood as detailed above. Might just try to stain the table to darken a bit to better complement the chairs--do not want/need to be exact--just not so glaring a contrast. Staining hardwood like eucalyptus might be a challenge--not sure?? Other option I guess is to just wait and see how sun/rain change colors over time (hope for best) Would say that Amazon customer service rep I chatted with was very nice, just said there is really no flexibility on need to either send back whole set or none of the set. Do not think my wife will want to wait that long again to get the patio set.

Looks great when new. Built fairly well. Even with using the sealer/conditioner per the instructions, the wood is showing signs of weathering already. We have had to lightly sand the top and the arms of the chairs as they get rough from exposure to sun and rain. The wooden cross bar for the leaf broke. The manufacturer sent a new one without any hassle. I expected better for the price.

I love it but they said that it came sealed in the video and they sent some sealer to use later but I started getting water spots already after less than a week. Amazon offered a replacement at first but then realized it's not available right now so am just going to keep it and try to seal t again right away.The assembly instructions aren't great but was eventually able to figure it out.

Nous voulions une table plus grand et celle ci est parfaite. Très solide et les chaises sont confortables. Nous sommes surpris d’ailleurs car c’est une des raisons pour laquelle nous hésitions à choisir un modèle sans coussins. La forme du dossier offre un excellent support lombaire, ce qui augmente le confort. La table est vraiment grande et permettrait d’ajouter 2 chaises additionnelles pour un total de 10. Le montage des chaises est assez long. Belle qualité pour le prix !

The factory installed some of the screws too deeply into the wood on one of the table extensions causing the wood to split. We had the chairs and most of the table assembled when we realized this so we attempted to fix it ourselves.
