Amazon Basics Contemporary Madison Door Lever - Passage - Matte Black, 1-Pack

Had to change a bunch of ancient rounded door knobs so I was able to find these. Easy to install and seem to be pretty study and less expensive that other brands. Replaced all the passage door levers in the house.

Solid materials. Great look. Worth the purchase no regrets.

I recently replaced all of the silver door knobs in our home with these levers (7 passage & 8 Privacy). Right away, it made our home look 10 times more elegant and modern. I felt like these were super easy to install and I didn't notice any defects or flaws in the design. I am really impressed with how sturdy they are and think they look and feel high quality.The only thing worth noting is that the instructions fail to mention an important step. I have installed many different knobs/levers over the years, so I am familiar with the process -- But if you haven't installed door levers before, it might be difficult to figure out. Somebody else did a good job of explaining this in the reviews, but I can quickly recap as well.When it's time to connect the two sides of the lever through the hole, you need to remove the covering/handle on one side in order to put the base on -- do this BEFORE you screw the two sides together.Inside the package with the screws, you'll notice a little wire with a ring at the end. On the lever, you'll notice a very tiny golden hole near the base. You need to push the wire into that hole to release the covering/handle. The easiest way to do it is to put your thumb into the ring, push the wire into the hole with the weight of your hand and pull the handle at the same time. You will need to push the wire into the golden hole pretty hard and pull simultaneously. It might feel like you are going to damage it, but you aren't.

I bought more than a dozen of these to replace the door levers throughout my home. I was a little skeptical of the quality based on the low price, but upon receiving and installing them, I'm very impressed. They are sturdy and look great.CON:The instructions aren't great. One of the most important tricks that I didn't see in the instruction sheet was how to remove the lever so you can install the decorative metal ring. There's a small brass pinhole in the lever (see pics) so you can pop it off, attach the decorative ring, then pop the lever back on. It's important to remember so you don't have to pull everything apart again!

Handle were easy to assemble. Seem heavy, not cheap like some other ones I looked at. Have been installed for about 3 weeks, work great.

GREAT ITEM VERY GOOD QUALITY

We bought this for our front door because we bought a Kwikset satin nickel keypad deadbolt. We didn’t see the point of having a regular locking handle. This matches well and looks nice. It’s protected by a screen door so I can’t say how it holds up to weather otherwise. It doesn’t FEEL particularly sturdy, which I why I gave 4 stars for sturdiness. It seems to be holding up well, however, even with four kids, after a few weeks. I wouldn’t recommend rough grabbing and pulling. I’m not sure it would hold up well, in that case. I think that’s mostly because it’s a long, narrow rod. I like how it looks. It works great. Overall, pretty happy with our purchase.

Esta cerradura quedo muy bien en la puerta de mi baño, se ve muy pequeña pero es eficienete, cumple con lo que dice la descripcion del producto, en cuanto seguridad si funciona bien ya que no necesito una extra seguridad ya que esta en el interior de la casa y hasta el dia de hoy que llevo 9 meses con la cerradura y sigue funcionando, aparte se ve muy bien, en cuanto el precio comparandolo con otras manijas similares su precio esta bien, aunque no es de las mejores pero si quedara muy bien en tus puertas.
