Easy install and works great!
This is a simple kit that works great on my 2016 Stingray Z51. It comes with two connectors, a zip tie, and very simple instructions. The blue cable shown in the pictures is not part of the kit. Basically all your are doing is disconnecting the wiring harness from solenoid in the transmission and adding protective caps to both ends. I'm a skinny dude, so I was able to install this kit without having to lift the vehicle. However it was a very tight fit and I couldn't breathe too well because there wasn't enough room for my chest to expand. Don't do this if you are claustrophobic!I recommend you watch an installation video on YouTube before starting. The transmission on a C7 Corvette is located at the rear of the car next to the rear wheels and in front of the mufflers. The plugs you need to work with are on the drivers side of the transmission. Here is what I did:1.) Cut the factory cable tie to free up the wiring harness.2.) Back off the silver heat shield cup from the transmission to expose the solenoid plug in the transmission.3.) Disconnect the solenoid plug.4.) Snap in the small connector (white and blue) into the transmission.5.) Snap the long black connector into the wiring harness.6.) Use the included zip-tie to secure the wiring harness to the transmission. Note, I decided to retain the silver heat shield cup on the wiring harness. That's pretty much it! This kit works great. No more pesky 1-4 shifts and I can finally drive the car how I want to. The 1-4 shift still displays on the screen but you are no longer forced to shift into 4th. Also I haven't had any check engine lights come on.

More Enjoyable To Drive
I can’t stand the skip shift and to be honest I feel that it’s dangerous especially if someone doesn’t know that it’s coming driving the car the first few times. Even knowing it was going to happen I hated it. This was easy to install and has been performing flawlessly. In my opinion it makes the car much more enjoyable around town.

Probably saved my transmission
Saved my transmission and engine. I’d almost crash trying to go into second on a turn. The engineers know best, am I right? This product fixes horrible engineering. 10/10

Picture is misleading. The blue wire between the two connectors don't actually exist. All it does is disconnect the factory wiring. The two connectors protect the factor connectors from environment.Other than the picture, everything works exactly as advertised. Took just minutes to install once I had the car on jack stand.

Outstanding product
This is the best thing since sliced bread to get rid of the annoying 1-4 skip-shift on manual transmission Corvettes. I was waiting for one to come out specifically for the C7 model. I have used them on all of my Corvettes over the past 15 years. This unit works great and I don't have any computer errors. If you have a manual transmission Corvette, buy one of these. Takes all of 10 minutes to install.

Works on 2018 GS
Works as advertised on a 2018 Grand Sport. No errors are shown on the dash. While driving the notification still comes up but gears are not locked out. Installation requires getting under the back of the car and would be difficult without lifting it.

Vendor shipped CAGS eliminator that does not work on 2016 models.
Be advised that the skip shift eliminator sold by "Cass Wholesale" does NOT work on 2016 models. The white plug that goes into the sensor on the transmission is not keyed like it is supposed to be (mentioned in another review as well). I'm not going to try modifying it so it is a waste of time and money. Other vendors may be OK but make sure that the white plug is keyed/grooved on the sides when you receive it.

Why let GM tell you when to shift?
I have not installed this part yet, but friends have installed theirs and tell me they work just fine. The install takes minutes once you get the car on a lift and my best friend for life neighbor has his own lift in his garage. He has a very understanding wife. So if you have a Corvette with standard shift, the way God intended the car to be driven, get one of these and you will be happy.
