FlexTrim #WM126: 1/2" x 3/4" Flexible Base Shoe molding - 8' feet Long

Had a tight bend on a bull nose riser. The material matched the profile of the wooden shoe and even had a little wood grain to give it that authentic feel. I didn't need glue, only a few extra 18 gauge nails around the bend. They recommend using a pinner but the 18 was what I had, worked great. The nail holes closed up behind the nails too, so didn't need filling.The shoe arrived fast and in good condition. It was my first experience with flex trim, I'd definitely use it again.

Adhesion is not applicable for this product. It doesnt stick to things randomly. I stained this product a golden oak color to match my hardwood floors. I needed flexible molding to trim along the bottom rounded base of my staircase. This product worked perfect. With small finish nails, I tacked the flexible molding in place to make the bottom of the staircase look finished. It looks professionally done! Ladies, no excuses...you too can be a "master carpenter" and complete what was seemingly impossible wood projects!

This is great for curved steps. It is very inexpensive and easy to use. The only downside is getting it to stain the right color because it's a plastic rather than wood. It does look like wood once it is stained. Saves hundreds over a custom piece from a carpenter.

I tried two other flexible shoe trim option before opting to purchase the FlexTrim #WM126. I initially avoided this product because it was $25 for eight feet, while the big box product was less than $10 each. The other two (from the big box retailer) didn't have the flexibility to wrap the curvature around the stairs.I shrugged my shoulders and bought this -- needing something better than what I had. This flexed well (and even allowed me to cover the area where I cut and installed a plank that was a tad too short). I pressed the head of my nailer snugly on the surface. It did leave a dent in the shoe trim each time. I was able to spackle these dents when filling the nail holes -- turned out to be unnoticeable. It took paint well-enough; not quite the same texture as the pine shoe trim used next to it. I don't think too many will even notice. All-in-all, we're happy. I wish I would have just paid the money for this superior product the first time.

Very easy to install and takes paint well. Just used a few nails to hold it around the curve, some paint and caulking, perfect. Much better than the other plastic 'not-flexible' flexible trim also sold here on Amazon.

I love this trim! I have a rounded stair riser and a floating floor, which requires some custom shoe round. I cut with a fine tooth blade very easily, and actually trimmed with a utility knife after my miter was too steep. I mailed with an 18 Gauge nailer and the holes self healed. I used painters tape to cover surrounding area and stained with a oil-based stain. I applied stain evenly and just let it dry on-wiping removed too much (no penetration). I sprayed with an oil based poly and it looks great.The trim is very flexible and finished to look just like my rigid pine. Will buy again
