Carpenter Bee Magnet!
This trap works great. I have had it up for about two weeks on the sunny side of my deck and have captured around 14 carpenter bees! I had another trap that was cheaper and would catch one or two a season. Not sure if that has more to do with the trap or the carpenter bee population but I'm impressed with this trap. It is very sturdy and took only a few minutes to set up. I would definitely recommend this even though there are cheaper options due to its quality and effectiveness.

Works!
I used this product as I have an abundance of carpenter bees. They have drilled holes in my fence and house. I bought the homey depo version and it fell apart shortly after I purchased it and never caught one bee. This product is amazing! It has been hanging at the corner of the house a week and I have caught 7 large carpenter bees. Hard to believe they could fit in the drilled holes, but they did. I have left the bees in the glass container as instructed as it attracts additional carpet bees. No other type of bee has tried to enter. I highly recommend this quality made product!

This did not work for me
I was very hopeful that these would work well for me as I have a lot of carpenter bees. I bought two traps and hung them out in an area that I had seen a lot of carpenter bees. No luck after two weeks. I tried adding some Bee-licious bait. Still no luck and another two weeks. I then was able to kill a couple of carpenter bees with a fly swatter and put the bees in the trap. Still no luck with getting any carpenter bees. Current score is fly swatter with me at 9 kills. The Original B-Brothers Carpenter Bee Trap 0 kills..I also thought the hanging hardware was too fragile, so I bought some hardware myself that was a bit more sturdy.

Trapped 3 so far - works faster after 1 of them flies in
FINAL EDIT: WOW, this is literally the only thing that has consistently worked to fight off carpenter bees. We tried a number of other things (that don't involve killing them), and sadly none of them truly worked. We even had to have some of our fascia and rake board replaced with PVC. But if we had to go through this experience all over again, I would just buy 3-4 of these traps and place them all around the house right before spring starts.EDIT: Trapped 3 so far. Started working after about a week hanging up there. One had to fly in first and the others followed suit.I've hung the trap up right under our eaves where their nest / holes used to be. The bees just fly near it and ignore it. I even placed a dead bee in there like the other users recommended. Not sure what i'm doing wrong but I'll update this review if things change.Good luck with everyone's bee problems

Partially Works
After a few days I can see 3-4 Carpenter Bee's caught, but there are many more flying around, so it isn't 100% effective. I only bought one so this might be more effective if I bought more but at this price I'm not willing to do that on a chance.

It works, but Iâm crying
This works friends. If youâre sad to see things struggle for a while before they die, youâll be traumatized like I was, but it works. We live in SC and have tons of wood on our property (decks, etc) that was not taken care by the previous owners. As a result, these carpenter bees have got NUMBERS. They are everywhere. Our pest people advised they have nothing that will work with them, but recommended this trap. So we got one. It took about a week, but weâve got about 7 of those guys in there in now with more interested. It seems like it takes them 12-24 hours to die, and you can see it all as they are dying trying to get out of the glass jar. Awful to witness but we didnât know what else to do. Def going to the place with awful heat and jagged clothing for this one!

traps the bees
i had previously written a bad review because i didn't wait long enough. within 4 days the carpenter bees began to gather in the trap, and within 2 weeks it trapped about a dozen or more bees. i barely see them around my home now, and the few i do see, wind up in the trap. well worth the money. Just be patient, it will work.
