Impressive
Particularly for the money, this is a great guitar! I had read some negative reviews on some guitar sites from “Acoustic Snobs” trashing this guitar, they are all wet! I am an electric player and don’t find the big old fashioned dreadnoughts to be all that comfortable. Don’t like how they look, don’t like how they feel. This Talman feels great in my hands, plays very naturally for me and most importantly sounds great and I’m sure as the wood matures it will only get better. The guitar itself is well built and has a gorgeous finish, I haven’t plugged it in yet but the built in tuner works as it should. All in all I am extremely happy with this guitar as it does exactly what I need it too and at a very reasonable price! I can’t recommend it enough!

Great sound, great price, great deal
The action is nice and easy. Love the built in tuner. Still breaking it in and need to retune each time I play but it's only 2 weeks old. The sound is great. It's a bit smaller then expected. In the photo this guitar is on the left while a 12-string Ibanez is on the right. I was kind of hoping that they would be of a similar size when I set up the hangers. That said it is nice and small, very comfortable to play and really a very good sound very small guitar at a great price. I have yet to hook it up to an amp and hear what it sounds like amplified but imagine it will sound just as good. I'm looking forward to many years of enjoyment. For the price you really won't be disappointed with this guitar.Update: After a couple months it's holding tune a lot better between plays. Still love the built in tuner and I bought a Fender Acoustasonic amp to play it on. Haven't rocked out on the amp too loud but it does sound nice amplified as well. Really tough to beat the deal for the price. My dad really enjoyed it as well when he played it the other day. Liked it so much he is contemplating a purchase. I think he will be getting one for Christmas from me instead. Definitely a good purchase!

Good Guitar
I like this little guitar. I "noodled" around on one like this over a few months before finally ordering this one for myself. I was hesitant about ordering any guitar online, but I took a chance, and it worked out fine.Sound:This type of guitar has a distinct sound that is somewhere between that of a small size guitar and that of a regular size guitar. But it is an electric acoustic guitar, so if you need a bigger sound, you may connect it to a sound system via the jack on the bottom of the guitar, adjust the controls, and it should work just fine for the average player. If possible, play one before you buy one. Check your local music store/"Guitar Center" store, or, if you are lucky, your local pawn shop for one you can try out.My experience:When I first played it fresh out of the box, it sounded "okay" but not great. Then something strange happened. The more I played it, it seemed to sound progressively worse--particularly the "D" string. I tweaked the tuning a bit and played it some more. Still there was little improvement. I began contemplating returning it for a refund, or possibly replacing the tuning pegs and strings. But, after a couple of hours playing it, it started sounding better and better and more like the others I've played. I tweaked the tuning a little more, and now it sounds good to my ears. I'm not sure what the problem was, Perhaps it was adjusting to a temperature change.Bottom line:ProsIt's a very good little guitar. Not GREAT, but this one works well for me.. I like the small--but not too small-- size of the guitar, its distinctive sound, and, yes, I do like the way it looks.. It's a good size for mid-size children that they can grow into. It holds a tuning well. It has the capability to be connected to a sound system for enhancement. It's probably a good choice as a first guitar, a better-quality second guitar, or just a extra guitar for a different sound when you need it.ConsNone really. Just be prepared to give this guitar a couple of hours of "warm-up" playing before it "settles" into your groove.

Very Pleased
I have no real complaints about this guitar. I’m not going to be playing shows or anything so, it’s perfect for what I wanted. It’s well balanced, not too bulky to be comfortable while standing or sitting, sounds good and the action is quick and smooth. What I didn’t know when I bought it was that it had a built in tuner. I’m sure the look on my face was like a kid’s when I realized what I was looking at. It’s a an incredibly convenient feature and quite easy to figure out if you’ve ever used a tuner before. I’m very pleased with my purchase and the quality is as good as I’ve always expected from Ibanez. Ibanez USA, not Ibanez Japan. I’m not crazy.

What a sound!
My first acoustic guitar and it is very easy to play. The sound that it makes. Real easy to tune. Highly recommend.

Nice for the price.
Item arrived double-boxed, well package with no issues. Item wasn't tuned but, the Seasons have changed and that's to be expected. Besides that, it has a built-in tuner ! (See photo). Not a guitar player, but I do like to "noddle" every now and then...and this feels like it will suit my needs. An acoustic/electric that's suitable for a beginner/intermediate player.I don't think I'll be using the electric in the foreseeable future but it is a nice feature to have.Guitar runs on a 9v battery which is housed right in the space that is located below thecontrol volume (see photos).

Feels Cheap, Sounds Cheap
I was looking for an acoustic thinline. I have another Ibanez and it rocks. This one feels and sounds like a toy. The neck was passable, very thin like a strat which I liked but It feels cheap. After about 6 months the inlays started peeling up. Ibanez has slipped.

Amazing sound and playability
I just got this guitar and it plays great. The action is perfect. Do not use strings lower than 11. I noticed the 9 made a rattle in the upper frets so I went with standard bronze strings from Martin. Takes a 9v battery in the tuner. Tuner worked great. Its great for all stages of guitarist level and would be a wonderful beginner guitar because how easy it is to play.
