Daniel Tigers Neighborhood: Big Brother Daniel

All episodes on this disk are relating to becoming a big brother/sibling. Unlike a lot of these "themed" DVDs where only 2-3 episodes are on theme. Episodes range from preparing the home for baby, delivery day, meeting baby, learning to play gently with baby, how life changes after baby -like having to leave the park early so baby can nap- and one on one time with parents while baby sleeps. It really covers so much! Perfect for prepping your child for a new sibling.

I had twins this year and we started watching this about a month beforehand with our 2 year old. I sent it with her to her grandparents to watch while we were in the hospital and she had a present to bring her brothers when they were born. I think it really helped with the transition and she sings the songs during those hard moments when she doesn’t have all of our attention anymore. Recommend it in particular to anyone who is transitioning from only child to multiple children.

Daniel Tiger has been the BEST thing for our little guy. Our 2-year-old was never interested in watching TV until very recently. As a new big brother, Daniel Tiger has helped him with the transition of welcoming a little sister into the family. Every positive thing you have heard about this show is absolutely true. The writer's of this show have done their research. Our favorite part about the show is that Daniel and his family sing these catchy little songs for different things that he encounters in his life. We sing Daniel's songs like "You can be a big helper in your family" and "There's time for you and Baby too!" regularly throughout our day & they always bring a smile to his face. He is "just like Daniel Tiger" in that he has a new little sister.There are 3 double-episodes + 1 extended single-episode on this DVD. I highly recommend.

I like how they made the episodes in this on when Daniel's family is expecting a baby. Shows how there is room for you and the baby too, what to expect when a new baby is home and a few others. My son loves daniel tiger, this is one of his favorites. Only complaint from me is when they act out being a baby for 1 of the songs it bothers me the whole "goo goo ga ga" baby talk that's in the song for what seems to be extra long compared to any other daniel tiger song. Maybe it's just me 🤷‍♀️. Still a very good dvd set! Could see it being helpful for any family expecting and wanting to explain a few things to their toddler.

My son loves Daniel Tiger and we only have access to the first two seasons on Amazon Prime. We bought this DVD for my son in preparation for the arrival of his baby sister, and this is ALL he wants to watch now! I love that it instills in kids a sense of pride about being a big brother or sister, but also validates the feelings of jealousy and sadness that comes along with no longer being the only child in the family. It's helping him understand how to handle those emotions and turn them into something positive.

I got this for my 1 and 3 year old before adding a new baby to the family.

For parents buying this for a young child- we all know the wonderfulness that is Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood- It's great, but the book works better with my child. (I bought both- he's only seen the movie a couple of times as he doesn't care to pay attention, but the book we'll read over and over again!) But regardless, anything Daniel Tiger is great- I love their stories and messages/lessons. I also was impressed by this seller- they delivered it quickly and in great condition. Would absolutely buy again.
