Q: Would using 2 center speakers as bookshelfs work? Trying to think what the disadvantage of this would be. Would think it would have even fuller sound.

Absolutely! Bs-22s are discontinued, I have 2 CS-22s and find them more suited as small room bookshelves than centers, due to the subtle tweeters(not overpowering/bright/harsh). More woofers(mids) means more sound with less power, and the big ported box extends bass pretty low. Claims of being very directional is nonsense as we can see by cone shapes, and most importantly, tweeter horn shapes. Note: the rear ports want plenty of space between wall and speaker to round out the low frequencies. At current $150/2 it's a good value unless speakers need placed near walls, then get front ported speakers.

Its six and three quarters of an inch tall It comes with two thin rubber strips that act as a cushion for the speaker to sit on so you can make it 7' high if you use the strips.

This is not a powered speaker! It does not need to be connected to either a 110v or 220v power source! I hope this helps.
