Inspiring!!
This book was not at all what I expected. Taking more of a coaching tactic it draws a person to discover what’s inside. To discover the hidden truths on what is holding a person back from a personal relationship with the Lord. I was expecting a more physical experience when really Anna leads you to look inside and discover what is lacking in our spiritual relationship. That’s where the real barriers are to health of mind, body and spirit.

Good book. Great concept. Could use more editing.
I love the concept of this book. However, the writer needed a better editor. She does say from the beginning that most of it is a personal testimony and that she does not claim to be a fitness expert or theologian. I was just expecting a book that I could share easily with my ministry group without editing. I also felt it was priced a little to high for what it offered. A nice touch that a member of our group has taken upon herself to do would be to add maps of the suggested biblical walks.

Excellent "Tool" for using to track and measure Lenten Disciplines - both physical and spiritual. Could be used for any 40-day period, but especially for Lent or possibly Advent. Short chapters are very on-point for the 40 Disciplines.Only problem I have is the point system for the non-physical activities are far too generous compared to the "Steps" count.

Worth reading and doing.
We did this program for Lent in our church, and had the privliege of having the author help direct the study group. I really liked the way it tied together body mind and spirit. Also,while it's positive, it's realistic. Her father, an Episcopal priest, went through severe mental illness and then a stroke that left him disabled. Worth reading and doing.

We are using this book this Lent and it is fantastic. A solid resource for any Church or individual. Buy the book and your health and life will improve!

Wonderful read!
Excellent for use as a Lenten discipline, or when starting a walking regimen. Skillful union of fitness and spirituality. Something for all, from novice to experienced walker.

Enjoying the book our church group is doing the walk together. Some find it repetitive but that's what Jesus most have felt on his walk.
