FolkArt Home Decor Wax Sealer (8-Ounce), 34860 White

This wax is so easy to work with and really seals the piece you are working with nicely and gives such a nice sheen.

Very easy to apply, dries fast and is easy to clean. I noticed some of the color comes off in my rags when I clean but it’s not a big thing. Overall, the color in the table and chairs remains.

I ordered white wax. I want to try it on some dark furniture I have to lightened it up and give it an aged look.

I was stoked when I realized that more brands were putting out alternatives to the super expensive Annie Sloan chalk paint and wax. If you are used to that particular product, you will have to make some adjustments when using this one. The texture is similar to paint, a thin liquid. It went on very easily and looked fine when finished. I think the AS wax has a nicer finish, as the finished product looks more professional. However, I prefer the texture of the finished Folkart wax to AS. My only major complaint was that this white wax did not finish as white on top of white paint. Perhaps I did it incorrectly, but there was a hint of yellow in some places. I recommend this product, but I would only use the clear/transparent color again. It did not have the same yellow undertone.

I applied this to my warm honey oak kitchen cabinets to lighten them up without a huge Reno paint job. The product goes on easily and does not require a lot of effort. Minimal fumes, brush on and wipe off, and voila! First time I used I only cleaned the wood before applying, second time (pictured) I did a light sanding and cleaning before the application. You can see the cabinets on the left are original, right side is after

I used this was for heirloom pumpkins this year and they looked great!

Well I bought this so I could make things look more faded and primitive. I don't know it just looked like very pale White paint. And nothing looked exceptionally good that I painted with it, so I just didn't honestly like it
