Loved the snippets from several stories and the narrators. Such a great variety. Left me wanting more.

Easy listening
This is a good collection of Twain's work. Enjoyed the short stories. I got this for my reading mother, who no longer can see well enough to read. She listened twice.

It was fun to hear the material read by Will Gere and ...
I am not sure what I was expecting from this collection, but I listened to it with mixed feelings. The opening CD dealing with Life on the Mississippi was probably the dullest listening. It was fun to hear the material read by Will Gere and Walter Brennan. Some of the language is dated and some of the humor is slow developing, but other times the Twain's clever language made me laugh out loud. It was an OK addition to my collection.

Great stuff, very well read
Good selection of voices for the various pieces; there was some mispronunciation, here and there, such as Sam's brother Orion (it should have been OR-ee-un, not O-Ryan). Also, if his sister Pamela is mentioned (I can't recall if she is) it should be Puh-MEEL-uh (sometimes Puh-MEEL-ee-uh), not the common pronunciation of that name.

Bought this for a road trip my husband took his 92 year old mother on. A big hit!

Nothing as interesting as his novels ...
A fun, casual listen, nothing as interesting as his novels. A worthwhile listen of the life and times of Samual Climons, but Mark Twain is shadowing nearby. Thanks.

This is a bunch of short stories
I did not care much for the voices of some of the people who read the short stories, and I think there may have been better choices as to which stories were read.If I had know what the lay out of the CD was I would not have bought it.
