Q: About what would you say is the weight of a handful? Trying to gauge how much I need to purchase.

A handful would nor weigh more than an ounce or two. The bag itself is about the size of a Manila folder but come about 5” think and very dense. This is a lot of paper!

Q: About how many can would I need for 10 gift boxes?

It depends on how large your gift boxes are and if you just want the packaging on the bottom or all over the items in the box, too. I think that you could get 2 per pack, so 5 total packages, if your boxes are the size of a shoe box or slightly larger. If they are small gift boxes (like jewelry boxes), you would only need 1 package. If they are closer to the size of a boot box, then I think that you'd need at least 10. Hope that helps!

Q: Will this protect a wine bottle in a wooden gift box?

I would probably line the bottom with a towel or cushion of some sort and then load it up with the crinkle cut , as much as you can fit in the box ! You’ll see it’s much better cushion than any bags of filler I’ve bought anywhere, hands down !! Honestly wouldn’t be answering these questions if I didn’t feel so strongly about this product! We did wine box ceremonies in a few weddings and I wish I had found this prior to the weddings for those boxes !!

Q: Needing to wrap China set for 8 for a wedding. Will this di it.

I filled 2 large sized boxes 14x16 with a dozen votives 4 glass votive holders, large kitchen candle and topper shade . It kept them safe and secure and I still had half of a bag left !! If doing a full 8 piece set including cups , saucers And plates I would say get 2 just to be sure !! Great quality shredding , but I know what you’re packing is much more delicate that what I used it for , only reason why I’d get 2 bags !! Hope this helps you !!
