Very solid chair. Got this chair for someone with a bad back that has difficulty standing while cooking and preparing food. They love it. It looks great at a kitchen island bar, too. This chair is going to last and stand up over time.

This is a sturdy, beautiful tall stool. It is perfect for use in my kitchen, and the sage green color is beautiful. Love the dark wood seat also. I bought a round cushion for it and it really makes me happy....I bought a second one to use for weaving on my table loom. Great product. The seat comes covered in a thin protective plastic, but if you run a box knife or razor blade gently around the legs prior to removing it, it comes off without leaving any shreds. Great product!

The bar stool is sturdy, beautiful, and tall enough for me to sit on when I am cooking something that requires frequent stirring for more than a few minutes. The support bars serve as footrest, with convenient low and high options. I turn the stool in such a way that my feet rest on different bars. The seat is hard to sit on, so I bought a round cushion for it (baibu Stool Covers Round, Super Soft Corduroy Round Bar Stool Cushion Covers Seat Cushion - One Cushion Only (Corduroy-blue, 12" (30 cm)). I did verify with the seller that 12-inch cushion would fit the 13-inch seat, and it did. The blue cushion matched beautifully with blue legs of the stool. The stool came fully assembled, which is a plus. Make sure to look carefully how the legs are painted on the given pictures because the painting might look sloppy to some people and beautiful to other. There are also some oval holes near the top of the legs, which are not visible unless you are looking under the seat, but you can see them on the pictures.

This stool is 24" high, but originally I was considering the 29" size and I read all the reviews on that one. I was almost scared away by some of the warnings from buyers who ended up with stools that arrived broken. This size didn't have so many negatives, though, so I plunged right in -- hoping for the best, but dreading the worst. I was happily surprised by how nice and sturdy it is. I'm also happy I decided against the taller one because it would have been too high for my island.That it arrived fully assembled is a huge plus. There was a plastic over the seat (like a grocery bag but transparent). Unfortunately, the legs are screwed in over the plastic wrap so it's not easy to remove it without ending up with bits of the plastic remaining. Pro tip: I cut around the areas where the top of each leg is and I was able to get rid of all but a tiny bit on one leg ... doesn't show. I should have used a razor blade if I wanted a perfect removal outcome.Now for the bad part, which is why I gave this four, not five, stars: the stool arrived with a scuff mark on the seat (see photo). That might be a deal breaker for some folks, but I was okay with it because I'm going to add a cover to the seat (white). I originally ordered a lime-green cover but decided white would be better. It's due to arrive tomorrow, so -- if I remember -- I'll post a photo of it with the cover on it. It's also going to have a rug under it in and much of the rest of the room in a few days (awaiting delivery).The scuff mark looks worse in my photo than it looks in real life. I really don't think anyone would even notice it (other than the buyer, of course).

I saw these Winsome Wood Ivy stools when I was looking for something to support my room humidifier or air purifier in my great room, depending on the need and the, so I ordered 2 of them. I did not expect to be so pleased with them that I would look for other ways to use them. The rustic teal and walnut combination is gorgeous and they are very heavy and sturdy. I expected to have to assemble them, given the low price, but they were fully assembled, feet protected, enclosed in a plastic film bag (recyclable, and placed upside down in corrugated cardboard boxes. The round walnut seat is smooth and sealed, no splinters or rough edges. I only rated comfort as a 4-star because, really, who expects a wooden stool seat to be luxurious? I would order these again without hesitation.
