If you look at the picture I uploaded, you’ll see that I used this adapter in the middle of a bunch of multiple adapters - the significance of this is that it’s these digital format shifts (they each have to “handshake” on both ends and agree to mutually acceptable terms ) that can be most difficult and least likely to work with any hdmi-DVI (passive) adapter. So if it does this, I think it should do whatever valid application you wish (within the limits of the technologies).
