Delicious
These are delicious refried beans. Not too oily, lots of visible pieces of beans.

Taste fine, but definitely some beat-up cans
If you're looking for a cheaper case of refried beans, this is exactly what you're expecting to get. Taste exactly like I'd expect from a can of beans, but worth noting that these cans are almost all heavily dented, which can affect how long they hold up. If you go through beans frequently (which if you're buying a 12 pack I'd assume you do) this might not be a big issue, but if you're buying these for emergency prep to keep in a storage space long-term, this might not be the item for you. Best to watch the stores for sales and pick out cans that aren't beat up to store long-term.

Good flavor but runny/watery
Not very thick. Unlike most refried beans that I've previously purchased.

Tasty Refried Beans, but Very Watery Out of the Can
I typically buy Rosarita refried beans, and they've been my goto for over a decade. Saw these on sale here, and gave them a shot. These are very different from Rosarita, as these have a lot more flavor, and a bit spicier. However, these are very watery out of the can, and it needs to be warmed up on the stovetop, or microwave, and stirred around. Rosarita are thick, and you need to use a fork or spoon to get it out of the can. El Paso, you need a spoon, since it's very watery, and not very thick. I suspect this is why it's only 90 calories per serving, vs Rosarita is 100 calories per serving (10% more water). Do I recommend them? I like the taste a lot, but the watery consistency leaves a lot to be desired. I prob won't buy these again unless I plan to warm them up on a stovetop, so it can evaporate some of the liquid so it get's a thicker, how I like my refried beans.
