Furniture of America Betty Rocking Chair, Antique Oak

An antique-looking rocker, not difficult to put together (instructions fine, all parts included and in good condition). It's pretty big --don't plan to tuck it into a tiny corner -- and it has a big arc on the rockers. My only fuss is that the seat cushion is a bit skimpy.Glad I bought it and it will be popular in the B&B that I'm opening in a couple of weeks. I figured out to put it (given its size) and I think it will be great for a variety of guests (and maybe a few who need to rock a baby to sleep!).

We'll see how it handles over time and i'll update in a couple of years but so far quality wood and cushions! Dead simple to put together and the wife is pleased.UPDATE: It's been almost 2 years and a half. Chair looks exactly the same as we bought it on day one and has held up fine. No complaints, would definitely recommend.2ND UPDATE: So 2 years and 8 months in i'm noticing there is a slight depression in the cushion. Not a huge deal at all as it can be reupholstered pretty quickly and we sit in this rocking chair very often.3RD Update: 6 years later, still going strong. Not much left to say, this will likely be the last update.4th Update, because my wife just commented on it: 9 years later, still going strong.

We needed a nice rocking chair fast in time for company and found this first on Overstock but we could get it shipped two-day delivery on Amazon. It arrived on time in good shape. The chair was easy for my husband and me to assemble. It's a very attractive piece of furniture. Unlike some other reviewers, we feel it's very comfortable, including the seat. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that from the picture, I thought the wood would be a lighter shade. It's a lot darker, but as we have a blended decor, it still works for us. It is both sturdy and comfortable.

First, let me state that I'd give the look and comfort of this rocker 5 stars. It's a handsome chair with a classic flair. However, it's packaging, being slightly damaged, and coming with the wrong screws have made me have to deduct a few stars.Packaging - Came packed in two large boxes (one inside the other). Great you might think, less chance of damage, right? Not the case. It's packed inside with that flimsy fall apart thin Styrofoam. The kind that is static ridden and crumbly so it gets everywhere and provides little to no protection. I had to wipe down my walls with a swiffer and a wet rag to get all the pieces.Damage - Because of the awful Styrofoam the back of one of the runners was damaged. I'd describe it as a chunk missing. Since it's going in the corner of my room it's not so noticeable and I was able to fill in some of it with one of those little wood repair kits. Still though, super frustrating.Screws - It came with screws, but they were too short! I struggled for maybe a half hour just to try and get a single one to catch before I gave up and went to Home Depot and just bought some longer brass machine screws. Which I must say I'm ultimately happier with. The hint of the brass gives the rocker a nice look. Very frustrating to stop what I'm doing and make a run to the store just to finish what should be a 15 minute job.Ultimately happy with my purchase, but be prepared for some frustration. Also just be ready to spend an extra hour or so cleaning up all the Styrofoam and cardboard after you spend 15 minutes putting the rocker together.

Its very easy to assemble. 20 screws and you are done. Very good size . I love it. The price its excellent. The material its great. I'll recommend this rocking chair. Good for seniors like me with back pain

The rocker is pretty, classic, and matches my decor - that's why I ordered it. But when it arrived I was very disappointed! One of the rockers had a huge crack in it (eucalyptus wood is brittle). The seat of the rocker, it turns out, is NOT comfortable at all because it is only a frame with sponge and fabric stretched across it - no support in the middle, so you sink into it and the frame digs into the back of your leg. This is cheap workmanship!! A pity for such a pretty chair!!

I didn't know what to expect - ordering furniture online without actually seeing it and trying it out in person. This chair exceeded my expectations. Fits perfectly in my family room. Not too big and so comfortable! Very reasonably priced for this really beautiful rocking chair. I am so pleased with it!!

This Chair has nice color, easy assembly, looks great. BUT! The bottom seat cushion is terrible, no padding, like setting on the boards it's made of. We have to use a pillow just to sit on it. Returns not possible without taking apart. Not a good buy.The Calhouns
