poor shipping, missing parts
The crib arrived as scheduled but the shipping box was in very poor condition. There were gouges in the cardboard and holes in the seams where the shipping tape had been applied. There were no packing materials inside the box to hold crib parts securely. Surprisingly, there were no dents or scratches on the crib parts but the bolts, nuts, screws and wheels were missing. Were they originally omitted or did they fall out of the holes in the shipping box? I decided to return the crib and not go through the process of requesting the missing parts be sent.I think I would have liked the crib from what I could tell from the main parts that were shipped. I selected this crib because it seemed to be sturdy and would hold up well for my grandson and future grandchildren. Also, having the crib delivered to my home was a factor instead of purchasing a crib at the local Wal Mart and transporting it myself.I would not recommend ordering cribs that are manufactured by LA Baby since the company doesn't give the impression that the shipping process is an important part of overall quality and customer satisfaction. I will also be more selective when placing future orders through Amazon and not order items that are large and require assembly. I ended up purchasing a crib at the local Wal Mart.

Sturdy little crib
This arrived in fine shape and the bolts and screws were all there and easy to sort by size. I had a little bit of a struggle putting it together, but I think this is because I did it by myself. Two people working together would likely have found it to be easy! My main reason for writing this review is to let buyers know this model does NOT fold for storage, as one person said it does. I purchased this thinking we could fold it and wheel it into a closet, but that is not the case. So, I am sending it back and will purchased the LA Baby Deluxe Port-A-Crib which does in fact fold. This rolls easily and is not too large to go through doorways, but if you want a folding model, don't buy this one.

Crib
I ordered 4 of these. Packaging was horrible. The boxes each crib was in was very thin and crib was busting out of it. Multiple dents on all cribs. One crib had missing parts and had to be replaced. One crib had busted plastic pieces on the bottom where the wheels attach. Cribs where very easy to assemble. I will not order cribs again on here due to all this trouble. I would rather pay a little more and have less worries.

I am disappointed in the quality of these products
I ordered 3 of these for my daycare. All 3 had severely damaged packaging that was held together by little more then shipping tape. 1 had the locking nuts missing and I had to go buy them, another had a bent bottom corner of the crib. I only bought this because I wanted them to match the cribs I already had, otherwise I would have returned them. As a business owner, I am disappointed in the quality of these products.

Best crib ever
I wouldn't buy anything else! It's sturdy, the perfect size - really does fit through doorways, the wheels lock or unlock as needed, the kids tried to bang it up and chew on it, but it remained pristine. Mold proof, rust proof, waterproof - from my indoor experience. Easy to clean and love the pretty white. It is good for boys and girls and suited the kids until they turned 2, no issues at all. Well worth the investment.

Smells but seems OK
The first one we got was damaged in shipping and replaced by Amazon. They're shipped in a thin cardboard box with no padding. Each piece is in a plastic bag, and they're paired together with tape (so there are two sets of two bags taped together, then the mattress, the mattress support, and the hardware kit.)The second one made it OK (not perfect, but good enough) and I put it together last night. Both crib packages reeked of petroleum products - smells a lot like diesel fumes. I'm pretty sure this was inside the packaging, not due to UPS leaving it behind a truck or something. It's probably the oil that is on raw pipe to keep it from rusting. The odor level went way down (but is still present) after I got the boxes, bags and slips of paper out of the house. The warranty registration slip smelled so strongly I threw it away immediately after doing the online registration.Assembly instructions are printed on the crib support shelf. It would be helpful if they were numbered, but left-to-right, top-to-bottom seems to be the right order. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver and they include a little wrench. If you have a socket that fits the little nuts that would be a lot easier. The crib itself seems very sturdy - but it should, it's 50 pounds of steel. The mattress support is actually just thick fiberboard with a metal frame, so it may be the weakest point. But it's very thick for fiberboard, so I'm sure it's fine to support even a large baby.Right now the crib is on our patio airing out. I can't really give a "final judgement" until I know if it's going to be successful. If the smell doesn't improve I can't recommend putting a child in it. I suspect that with a few days on the patio it'll be OK.-----------------------------------------------------------------------11/26/2012 update - After a few weeks of airing out this was fine. With the nice big wheels it rolls all over the house, which is a big help for mom and dad trying to get other stuff done.

Love this crib for childcare.
After going through too many of the pack n play style cribs with the mesh sides I decided to try this one in hopes it would last longer. It has been over a year and it still is in perfect shape. This has nice high sides that keep even the more aggressive climbers from getting out of it. I love how this one folds to a smaller amount of space than the side folding ones. (This folds from front to back) I didn't put the casters on my first one, but really wish I had. It is heavy to move, but will fit through doors easily without folding it up. I am back today to purchase another one as once again one of the mesh sides on a pack n play has ripped. I plan to eventually have all 3 of my cribs be this style. Highly recommend this crib. It has taken heavy duty, daily use and withstood it beautifully.
