Worked perfectly sorta.
Had to trim the end a couple inches to fit our mower because this was one of those "substitution" situations we commonly into when trying to find parts for our old but trusty equipment. LOL But the profile and the attachment methods were exactly the same and installation was smooth as silk once the trimming was accomplished. BTW, if your old rod is bent when it comes out, straighten it ('cause it is supposed to be straight when in use).

Not for HU700 F
I saw a prior review that stated this was the right part for an HU700 F. It is not. I modified it to work with my mower but it is not the right part for a HU700 F.

The part itself is good. Wish they included the metal clips for mounting.
No complaints about this part, but for a tiny additional cost they could have included the metal mounting clips. Sure you buy them separately, but why not have a product option with guard, clips, and screws for a complete replacement?

Works and fits without out a fit
At first I had doubt since it have in a plastic bag and no indication if this is OEM or generic part. But it fits perfectly on my Craftman lawn mower

Perfect replacement for out 12 yr old lawn mower (can't remember brand but this was the replacement part), as the old shirt got all chewed up and ripped off. It's nice having the shirt lie the way it's supposed to again, and to not have myself or the kids get shot with rocks and debris while mowing.
