New Genuine Smart Car Fuel Filler 451 Tank Gas Cap 4514700005

This is a little pricey, but it's a perfect replacement for the gas cap on my 2009 Smart ForTwo all the way down to little springy plastic tether. Mine broke a couple of years ago and I've worried about forgetting - and subsequently losing - my gas cap ever since.Not any more! If I get absent-minded and leave the cap off it'll just dangle there mockingly until I look in my side mirror and realize my mistake.

Since Mercedes no longer supports , repairs , services , and stock parts for the little cars they manufactured and sold in our country , it is becoming difficult to find parts . I had a check engine light come on , the ‘ scan ‘ diagnosed a gas cap issue . I couldn’t locate one in the small city that I live ( Dallas , Tx. ) , so Amazon came through . A reasonable price , nos , in original packaging , I snapped it up , and damn glad I did .
