Effective but painful but also worth it!!
This soap is very painful but is speeding up the healing process of my hands which were recently attacked with psoriasis due to an allergy and ended up getting infected. It burns like hell for 2-3 min after washing but then has a way of contracting the skin together. It’s also getting rid of the build up of dead rough skin!So yes, it’s painful to use this soap but what a relief afterwards because it stops the terrible nonstop itching for me for many hours. Wearing the cotton gloves to protect my hands and also using Neosporin has been very helpful for anyone suffering with what I’m dealing with.I saw someone write a review saying that it made their child psoriasis worse. I could see someone not understanding that it’s a process where this seems to have a way of drying it out so it sloths off and then it’s finally able to heal. So it actually does get worse at first but it’s just part of the healing process. Before this soap I was trying to get rid of it with using ointments and creams and it was just getting worse. I’m so grateful for this tiny but mighty and very painful yet worth it bar of soap! All that said I would not use this on a Young child because I don’t see how they could ever understand that getting through that amount of pain will be worth it eventually. I could see it being severely traumatizing for a child if their skin is as raw infected and destroyed as mine was before I started using this.

Bye Bye Flaky skin
I always read product reviews prior to purchasing an item that I am not familiar with but rarely write reviews. I am taking the time to submit this review because I am completely satisfied with the Zinc Therapy soap! The reviews said it was successful in treating Seborrheic Dermatitis and I was recently informed that I have Perioral Dermatitis which presents similarly with dry flaky skin around the mouth/chin. I have tried many home remedies (oatmeal/honey masks, mineral oil, olive oil, dandruff shampoo). Some of these treatments seemed to show improvement but the improvements would only last for a day or so. I decided to go with this particular soap because of the price and thought I had nothing to lose by trying it.I rubbed the soap in my hands and then lathered it on my face. I will say that it stung, ok yes it burned during my first use and I thought that this could not turn out well and expected to see major skin irritation on my face. To my surprise, there were no signs of irritation and I saw significant improvement in the appearance of my skin. I hesitated to get too excited because I knew by the end of the day, the flakiness would reappear -- but it did not!. After using the soap the 2nd day, I continued to see more improvement and by the 3rd day, the dryness and flakiness was gone! I continued to use the soap daily for about 2 weeks and now I use it about 3-4 days per week. I wish I had pictures to show. The skin on my chin is smooth and flake free; I am so happy I chose this product.I was initially concerned about the size of the soap as it is the size of a hotel hand soap bar but I am pleased to say that I am still using the same bar and it still very close to the original size after using it for over 4 weeks. I recommend this soap for anyone who suffers with dry, flaky skin. I will definitely continue to use Zinc Therapy soap.

FYI they are tiny
I thought I was getting a deal with this price for two bars, but when they arrived I laughed at how tiny they were. Like trial size bars. Oh well that's fine, I just wasn't expecting that, or I didn't read the description close enough :-)So far, after a few days, it does seem to be making a difference on a weird patch of dry skin that has not responded to other topicals. I was surprised by how soft it leaves my skin. I have been trying plain old Dial soap as some recommend, and that is extremely drying, but this soap is not. It has moisturizing agents as well.Edited to add: After using this soap for a while, it has not cleared up what turned out to be perioral dermatitis. It does seem to help keep it in check (along with a sulphur mask product). I'm still searching for the ultimate cure or what is triggering that. However, I'm pleasantly surprised by how clear it is keeping the rest of my skin. I would usually get blemishes especially from clogged pores from wearing sunscreen. This has been cleaning my skin effectively and keeping it clear. So overall I'm satisfied and I think I will rebuy.

Great replacement for Z-Bar
My beloved Z-Bar by another big store brand has been hard to find, and I was recommended these. They work exactly the same! I love that I can get the thin bars so that I don’t have a big bar of messy soap in the shower for months. The smaller size makes them easier to use and easier to keep things neat. The price was also much better than anything else I could find online.

It's okay, no improvements, but nothing worse off either.
I suppose I was looking for a cure all, the golden ticket of skin care! Bummer, didn't find it :/I have very stubborn keratosis pilaris, as it in laughs at literally everything I've tried - which is pretty much across the board. It doesn't get better in teh summer for me, it gets worse because I am constantly feeling my arms. The soap didn't do much on that avenue. not worse, not better - but middle of the road.I do actually kind of like it on my face. After I turned 35, my skin has decided to semi-breakout more than half of the month. Where I used to have one, maybe two zits about a week before my period that cleared up pretty much immediately after I started, I now have at least two zits at random spots on my face at all times. Yeah, so that's cool. Those are the two main areas that I've used the soap - arms and face, oh and upper back for good measure. I didn't use it on my scalp, although I should since I have stubborn ezcema, something not cute. Soap lathers well, no weird smell or anything like that . After drying off in the shower, I always put on coconut oil mixed with a smidgen of castor oil - I keep it in a squeeze bottle right in the shower so it's easy to apply - I haven't had an issue with my skin drying out too crazy.
