Edge of Collapse: Box Set, Books 1-3

This is the first I have read of this author. The story is better than I had anticipated. I will definitely continue reading the series.

Loved the storyline and the characters. Glowed very nicely and I couldn’t put it down, looking forward to what came next. Highly recommend!

I would have given five stars except it is difficult to over come the perils of Pauline elements. Character development is really good.

This was one crazy ride of a series, it was a page turner from the beginning. Great storytelling, lots of emotion, wanted to skip to the end so many times (but didn’t). Can’t wait to see what happens.

Great story of post apocalyptic chaos. No zombies, but plenty of monsters! Characters are well developed in this series. A real page-turning thrill ride.

These books will have you on the edge of your seat, wanting to read more and more. I’m ready to dive into book four!

Good read. That being said I can’t help wondering how the world would be responding to a now greatly weakened America. Where are our allies? Are our enemies waiting for the country to weaken further as millions die from starvation, cold, illness and murder? This story line is about people living in a rural area, and is definitely entertaining, I just wonder what’s going on in the bigger picture.

There's a lot of tension in this story. It begins with brutal behavior and evil. Throughout the story, people are forced to live in a very unstable environment in which all the suppressed anxiety and animosity is forced to the surface. I cannot even imagine how it would be possible to get people to work together. How could any leader be effective? Who would lead and give orders? How do you make people understand that the system of entitlement is beyond broken, but there is strength in numbers, yet everyone has to do some work. It makes the pyramids of Egypt and Mexico look more wonderous. From my experience, small groups would have more success than larger groups, but there's the rub, yes? People have already turned to mob rule and vandalism during protests, plus stores and markets are regularly being swarmed by gangs of shoplifters, who easily become violent; certainly, that is the reality now, so how fast would things decay after a major breakdown of infrastructure. This book is fiction, but it does an excellent job of portraying the negative, selfish side of humanity, and that there are real monsters out there in the world.

Character development and the plotline are very engaging and easy to identify with many of the characters, the good ones anyway. Highly recommended.

The characters are brought to life and the novel flows like a movie inside your imagination leading to love,strife and violence. I can't wait for the next
