Great for a quick window covering fix, awesome solution for day sleepers too
We were staying in a rental temporarily and didnt want to bother with holes and such on the walls to add window coverings in the bedrooms. We got several yards of this fabric with a few roles of stick on velcro tape. It was an easy and fast solution to just cut the yards to size for each window, adding just an inch around the sides for the tape and secured it around the perimeter of each window. No holes and it worked SO WELL. total darkness like you wouldn't believe and it actually looked really great too. I'd totally use this again in my own home to put up behind some curtains in any room I need to black out as well. The velcro tape make its a good option for easily taking down and putting back up as needed too. For any night workers/day time sleepers - this is a great solution that wont cost much also!Update* now moved into our own home from the rental and we liked this solution so much we are indeed using it behind curtians to provide full blackout for sleeping. I'm ordering more once again for another room today! 5th time! :)

Very pleased
I liked that the fabric arrived on a sturdy roll, all in one piece and not folded. It was very light-blocking. I used it to make a custom cover for a marimba that is made of beautiful wood that darkens if exposed to light. The fabric was unbelievably forgiving when sewing; corners especially. I had no puckers (!) and it was challenging handling such a big project and trying to sew at the same time. The cover gets wrinkled when it is removed and set aside, however the wrinkles disappear after a few days when the cover is replaced and hangs. One drawback for my project is that the underside is white flocked-like with a soft feel, but I notice that it leaves a dust on the marimba each time it is taken off.

Best inexpensive solution!
This product is PERFECT for what we needed: temporary blackout window coverage for our room while newborn slept with us. It’s so easy to measure, cut, and adhere to window with Velcro (to allow removal during day). It completely blocks light! Tip: cut slightly larger than window and don’t pull as taught to cut - we didn’t do those things so each window has the tiniest bit of light around the edges.- you can see in photo and that is OUR fault, not the product. This is the least expensive and effective option we found, such great value.

Still usable and looks like very nice material
Gave it a 4 because when shipping the bottom of the fabric got scrunched as it was not properly fasten on the cardboard shipping tube. Still usable and looks like very nice material. Perfect for temporary RV blackout shades I'm making.

Blocks all the light and is easy to use!
My next door neighbor recently decided to install a floodlight conveniently located right outside my bedroom window. I have blinds that allow light in at the sides and stick out a couple inches from the window, so I didn't want to cover them with curtains. I purchased this fabric to install directly on the window and it was the best decision! The fabric is lightweight yet durable and it totally blocks out the light. I attached velcro strips to the window frame and the fabric so I can pull it off if necessary. This stuff was a great buy!

Does the job well and material is excellent
This worked absolutely perfect for what I needed. My front door has a glass in the center but in the day and evening it casts a BRIGHT light on my projector screen. I bought this and sewed magnetic strips on the edges and created an easy on and off blackout for my front door.

Blocks Light
I recently moved into an apartment that is at an intersection. There are traffic lights, street lights, and other lights (car headlights, for example) that I find troubling. I like to sleep in a cave. So I bought this fabric, and it's really great. It does exactly what it's supposed to do: block light.

Exactly what I wanted!
I bought this to make blackout panels for our new RV bedroom. This material is exactly as described. I bought twice what I thought I would need because I thought I might have to double it, which I did not. One layer is just fine. I was concerned about using a hot glue gun so I sewed magnets into top and bottom for the smaller windows. Used the glue gun for the large window - SO much easier! Either way, it was easy to sew and/or glue!
