Perfect,effortless omelettes every single time!
I really like my Lekue Omelette Maker because it is quicker and easier than doing it the regular, old fashioned way. The best feature is not having to use oil because of the nonstick quality of the material used. I throw in raw veggies and microwave for a minute or so, then add cheese and eggs and my omelettes come out perfect.I recommend 2 eggs plus ingredients. Every time I have tried the 3 egg omelette, even with just a few ingredients I have leakage which is more a nuisance than anything since I do microwave using a microwave safe plate. There are not too many instructions on the sheet that comes with the omelette maker, so I googled recipes and instructions to make it a little easier. My 13 year old daughter loves to make omelettes now and I figure she is spoiled for life by not having to flip omelettes not to mention having to sautee veggies beforehand. I do recommend cooking bacon (or any raw meat) either on the stove or in the microwave before throwing it into the Lekue Omelette Maker. This is also a breeze to clean which makes clean up a lot easier in my home!Easiest ingredients:(cooking time varies according to Microwave wattage):2 eggssaltpeppercheesecooked leftovers: ham or baconraw leftovers: onion and bell peppersI toss a bit of raw onion and bell pepper and close the container, place on microwave safe plate and microwave for 30 seconds. (Additional time can be used depending on how fast they soften and cook in the microwave. I would add 10-15 seconds). Adding the egg (2 eggs scrambled with or without a bit of milk as desired, I went without) and cheese. Chopped bacon or ham can also be added. I cooked for about 1 minute then flipped it over and heated it an additional minute. I topped with cheese and pico de gallo for flavor. It comes out very hot and evenly cooked.Additional Tips:Try broiling the omelette for a minute or two before topping cheese and garnish. That often gives the desired cripsy effect without wasting a lot of time in the kitchen.Make several of these ahead of time, place in individual ziplock bags or storage containers and reheat either in the oven or microwave for busy weekday mornings.

Makes Great Omelets - Love It!
Works Great! It took me a while to find directions in English as the print is really small and the directions for the recipes are more in the way of pictograms which took some time to decipher. Fortunately the "photo" instructions for the different recipes had English titles included too. I studied the photos to work out the cook times and got a great omelet on the first try. My microwave is 1000 watts. I made a ham, onion, and 2 cheese-2 egg omelet. I diced a 2 oz. slice of ham and 1/4 small onion and placed them in the Lukue with a teaspoon of butter and cooked them at 80% power (to equal the 800 watts as recommended in the pictograms) for 1 minute. I then removed the Lukue and poured in 2 eggs (mine were extra large this time) beaten with 1 teaspoon of cream and stirred everything with a fork. I then stirred in 1 tablespoon each of pepper jack cheese and mild cheddar cheese (diced small) finishing with a few shakes of salt, a couple of grinds of pepper, and a pinch of dried parsley. (*Be sure any fillings to be pre-cooked, and later, the egg mix are both poured into the deeper well on the bottom half of the Lekue to start with, otherwise the filling will overflow.) I re-closed the Lekue and microwaved it for 2 minutes at 80% power, then flipped it over and cooked it another 1 minute at 80% power. The inside may look a little too soft right out of the microwave, but the residual heat will finish cooking it within a minute of plating it. Voila! The results were perfect and made enough for two servings. And I've repeated the results with each use! I'll be trying other combinations next. Hope this helps all of you other cooks out there. I am very pleased with this product. Getting perfect omelets has always been hit or miss for me, but not any more. Cleanup is a breeze too. Kudoes to Lekue.

Put it on a plate to cook in the microwave
I’ve been using this since 2018. Best results are possible if you put it on a plate where it can sit flat—- mind the curved edges. Trust me on this. If it overflows it does it on the plate. The plate makes it easy to take it out of the microwave and even eat off of it without trying to eject it from the cooker. Also, get some small rubber spatulas so you can scrape the sides while eating, ejecting it, or for cleaning.Fact: It’s a pain to clean everyday by hand unless you put it into a dishwasher that runs everyday and ours does not —- so I’m ordering a second one. It’s actually my third order as I tore the first one (oops!) and gave one as a gift. They also have a frittatta maker that is larger and I would give the same advice for all who gave that one a negative review… put it on a plate, use another plate on top to flip it when its hot. I will order one of those too to give it a whirl.I think this is rather easy to use. As all microwaves are different, it may take you some time to figure out the best cooking time. I cook then for 3 min as I fill mine to the brim using egg whites only from a container where someone else did all the egg cracking and separating. I use this every day too.

Eggs on the fly
Don't get me wrong, it isn't going to give you exactly the same texture as a pan omelette, but you really will have an omelette in 4 minutes and it's crazy easy to clean

Rubbery taste
I'm a working mom with a 3 year old in preschool and a clingy, teething 13 month old. I consider myself extremely lucky if I manage to get ANY breakfast in my mouth before running out the door in the morning. This product appeared to be a great solution - pour in some egg whites and various toppings, microwave for 2-3 minutes, stuff face and rinse omelette maker. A HEALTHY breakfast and cleanup in under 10 minutes! For that speed and convenience, I'm more than willing to trade the texture of a traditional omelette. What I don't love is the rubbery taste that seems to be transferring to the eggs. I am not sure if this is because the product is new, but I've used it about 10 times so far and it's not going away.

Omlett
