AUTO METER2639 Z-Series Electric Oil Temperature Gauge , 2 1/16"

I installed this meter on my Harley ultra classic which required removing the front fairing cover, draining the oil 5 quarts of Redline (@ 14.75 a quart) only to have the meter not work, The needle moves 1/4 inch when you turn on the ing and goes no farther regardless of how hot the oil gets even after all day riding at freeway speeds. Beware! The money I saved on this inexpensive gauge has now cost me $73.75 in new oil not counting the time it took for me to remove and replace it with the Harley gauge. I should have gone with the Harley gauge in the first place. I paid more, but got a produce that worked. One other reason I picked this gauge from Amazon and Auto Meter is that it is made in the USA and I trust Amazon. The Harley gauge is made in some other country and works, sorta says allot for American made.

Bought this almost a month ago.Upon installing the gauge skyrocketed to 300F after 5 minutes.Thinking it was a faulty sensor i ordered another. This is threaded into my oil filter relocation kit.I hooked up a 30 row oil cooler and when driving around it hit 300F again. I then hooked up another 30 row oil cooler and drove around ( 60 rows total ). Still shows 300F after 5 minutes. Defective? Either way i ordered a replacement and will update.

Easy install, came with a couple adapters, swapped out the lamp for an led and everything is great.

Easy to install so far a good value for the money looks great
