BUY! BUY! BUY!
Let me preface this entire review with the statement that I hate mopping. It was the one chore that loathed as a child. It never made sense to me dipping a mop back into dirty water and thinking that your floors were somehow getting clean. So as an adult, I thought, let's get a steam mop, which I did several years ago...an economically priced one from Home Depot or Lowes. And I loved it. I loved the way that the house smelled sanitary and fresh after using it. And like all things in this currently modern world, it stopped working after a couple of years.So....I bought this Bissell Steam Mop, which arrived right on time, and which I promptly left right in the box for another 2 months......because I hate mopping. Well not anymore, my friends! This steam mop is amazing and wonderful. I live in an approximately 1300 sq ft townhome with both laminate wood flooring and ceramic tile. The laminate wood has grooves and crevasses in it which tend to hold dirt. For instance, under the location where my dogs eat, I have been known to have to use and old toothbrush to get the dirt and gunk out of those crevasses because just general scrubbing or mopping won't get to it. The instructions on this steam mop say to place the mop over problem areas and hold continuous steam on it for 10-15 secs. I did this in a number of places on my floors and literally watched the dirt, which I formally could not get out, appear to evaporate. My floors have never in the 4 years that I have been in this home looked as clean as they do after a single use with this mop. And it is super handy and quick if a spot clean is needed. Additionally, the water reservoir, though it looks small, holds enough water to clean the entirety of my downstairs floors and still has a small amount of water left. With my old steam mop, I would have to refill the water canister 2-3 times during a single cleaning of the same part of the home. It is also very easy to assemble. It arrives in 3 separate parts which simply snap together. The water reservoir simply pulls straight up and out from the spot where it is housed to be filled. Very easy to use.As I said, I really loved my old steam mop and thought that it was wonderful. However, after using this one, my old mop was definitely a 1 on a scale of 1-5, and this is a straight up 5. It is a very good buy for the cost. And the results truly look like clean, sanitary floors which you will feel comfortable and happy to be walking on.

Convenient to use on small areas
This is my first steam mop and it works great for my needs. I have just a few small areas to clean, and this is very easy to pull out and clean with quickly, but more effective than a Swifter and chemical-free. It picks up lots of dirt and the triangle head moves and swivels without resistance. The steam button is a bit annoying - I had a very dirty floor on the first pass and it didn't seem to clean as well unless I continuously pressed for steam - but it isn't difficult to do if you're sticking to small areas. So for the low price, it was a good purchase. A few downsides: The instruction manual says that you have to steam an area for 15 seconds to sanitize it, which is not very convenient. I didn't even spend that long taking a few passes over three very small rooms with continuous steam and I used up 2/3 of the water tank. And while it is easy to use, it doesn't easily pick up dirt in the crevices along the walls.

Great product for the price!
This is the first steam mop I've owned so I can't compare it to any others, however we are extremely pleased after our first few uses. The mop takes about one minute to assemble, another minute to heat up, and then you're ready to go. It produces plenty of steam, despite a few reviews stating that it did not. It's not as flimsy as I was expecting for the price, however it is not the most sturdy. I'm the sure the mops for $120 are more durable but no issues yet.It cleans the floors as expected and the water tank will last for a solid 600 SF in my estimate (and that's holding down the steam lever almost the entire time). The steam lever is very convenient compared to what I read about the pump models. It comes with two cloth head covers. One of them is ribbed and works fantastic, however the second one is flat and is better used for areas that do not have caked-on gunk or stains.I plan to order more covers because they do get saturated pretty quickly. We have about 1100 SF of hard floor surfaces and using only two cloths was really pushing it. Keep in mind that our floors hadn't really been cleaned well in months so maybe with regular use they will not become saturated so quickly.I definitely recommend this product if you want to find a steam mop for under $100.

Bissell Steam Mop
Received the mop in a timely manner. It was easy to assemble, no need to read the manual on that. Put water in the tank right away and tried it. Everything was cool up until this point. This is where I gave it a 3-star review (ok product). This is a light duty steam mop. It isn't designed to clean heavy traffic, or overly dirty surfaces. Steam is moderate, I had to squeeze the steam trigger all the time to clean, the trigger is light to squeeze though. It does clean, but as described above, it's for light duty use. I was expecting more steam/force coming out of this mop, but it performed under my expectation. The surface dries up pretty quickly, but that's because only moderate amount of steam comes from this mop. I used to have one of those basic Shark steam mops and that thing gave out heavy steam and it just felt like it was cleaning a lot better than this Bissell. I had to use more scrubbing/forward pushing force on this one. If you want a more powerful steam mop, get the more expensive Bissell. I'll keep this one for light duty use.

Only worked once
Used it once, worked great. Second time I plugged it in it didn’t heat up. Doesn’t heat up at all. Cannot return as my local amazon only gives you a 15 day window. Didn’t use it the second within this window. $200 down the tubes.

Didn’t work!
I ordered this product from Amazon’s Australian website (for Australian delivery) and received a US model. Managed to borrow a transformer/ adapter to try it but the item didn’t work at all. If products aren’t suited to Australian use this should be pointed out at the ordering stage. However returning the goods went very smoothly.
